Good article. It's what I've been sayin' for years while people say I'm not a doctor (I'm glad I'm not) and should not give out medical advice. I was not giving medical advice since I'm not into pharmaceutical and operative treatments (including tests). I was telling them usually about nutrition. I know you are into that stuff, too. Not bashing some medications, just the blanket "one shoe size fits all" mentality and this goes for medical treatments, too. I know that cholesterol/BP meds are amongst the highest prescribed medications next to pain-killers and such, and such "numbers lowering drugs" have not proven to prevent heart attacks if you did not have one yet. Nothing, zero zilch. SO why are they taken? Because of the false sense of security that if the numbers are right, you won't have a heart attack because people, whose numbers are right supposedly have less heart attacks. Yes, and I shot out all the signal lights at train crossings because statistics show that nobody was ever run over by a train when the lights were off. So if we shoot them all out with a shotgun, there won't be any more accidents, either. Same logic and reasoning for a so-called scientific institution.

Too much emphasis is placed on BP. Notice over the years they dummied down the numbers. 120/80 used to be textbook, and now it's considered "pre-hypertension". There's no such thing but they sayso to drug you. Keep in mind as Christians we are warned about false doctrines aka "cults" but worldly systems such as medical dogma is the same. A doctor wants to make you aware as to how "sick" you are when the Lord said, "I am the Lord that heals you." Sometimes we hear the line in a book or movie "Be a man!" I can likewise say to all "Be a Christian!" LOL. I would not even treat "high" BP if it was above the 140/90. But if it's extremely high, you don't need medications. You need a true doctor to find out why its so high and give your body the nutrients and whatnot it needs to bring it down. I know of some good herbs and nutrition that works. Also, make sure you don't have a touch of white coat. Is it the same at home? If it's lower at home, then tell the doctor to take a hike.

One last thing. Being an electronics technician and comparing blood flow to electrical flow, I can tell you why lowering it is not a good idea. I'm not playing doctor. I'm talking physics and mathematics here.

thanks tim-from-pa
I too always look for natural ways to solve medical problems before I see a Doc. one of the best things I have found is oil of Oregano.

And remember Roro, it's not only about natural healing. The issue is that the medical world tries to make people into sick patients when there's no problem to begin with. If your BP at home when relaxed does not exceed 140/90 AVERAGE, then there's no problem. And even if it's a tad above, it just MAY mean that something is a bit off and you have to find what it is. Otherwise, (unlike the medical establishment), don't obsess about numbers and turn yourself into a patient.
