As an apologist myself, I have to say that my favorite apologists at this time are:

-Dr. Thomas Kindell
-Mike Riddle
-Phil Fernandes
-Dr. J.D Mitchell
Have you ever read Justin Martyr?
John Chrysostom?
Athanasius?
Cyril of Alexandria?
Gregory of Nazianzus?
Gregory of Nyssa?
Polycarp?
Ignatius?
Basil?

People I have listened to or read their books. Many more but these are the ones I can think of at the moment.

Greg Kokul
Frank Turrek
WLCraig
Ravi
Paul Copan
Gary Habermas
Dr. Michael Brown
Tim Keller
Hugh Ross

Studied his stuff in Bible college. My professor loved the guy and Geisler was my profs prof!
I purchased the Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics the week it published for $50 and used it every day when I debated the subject, almost, exclusively. But a younger man surrendered to preach a few years ago and I passed on all of my Apologetics and relative materials on to him to build his library. At times I really miss it. But it is in better hands.

Great list. Certainly several of the more well known ones. And of course Koukl, Zacharias, and Craig are all part of ministries that are comprised of many other very good apologists.

That is a very handy book that I have referenced many times.

So, it appears that the unspoken original title is "Your favorite modern, western, Protestant, Reformed, Christian apologists."

Is ok I suppose.

Yeah, that is a good book.

See my post #21
If you haven't read them for a while here is a library, section for early church fathers. http://www.ccel.org/fathers.html

For apologetics I tend to be a listener.

Dr James White http://www.aomin.org
Pastor Chris Rosebrough http://www.piratechristian.com/fightingforthefaith/
I have listened to quite a few Christian apologists on https://www.sermonaudio.com/main.asp

Rosebrough's radio ministry is like the old website www.apprising.org - apologetics focusing on wayward teachings within the Christian church though, not different religions like James White.

Free,

Geisler's Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics is in my library and I refer to it regularly. It contains excellent apologetic material.

One thing I regret is that, since it is an encyclopedia, that it does not include many subjects expounded by other apologists. A one-apologist volume is somewhat restricted, in my view, when God has equipped so many outstanding evangelical apologists around the world.

Francis Schaeffer (now deceased)
wrote THE GOD WHO IS THERE and 20-odd other books
I have around 8 of his books. He was actually quite "prophetic," that is, he could see where society was headed and what the consequences would be. Great writer and apologist.
