i don't know what we're giving out. mama got the candy today, but...they've got that stashed upstairs, LOL. I'm guessing the small snickers, maybe the small reese's cups.

i seem to vaguely recall one couple giving the kiddies little packs of sugar free gum. actually...i think he may have been the local dentist, for a couple years.

No one trick or treats in our neighborhood anymore. We have about one visitor every two years. I always have the goodies on hand but end up giving an entire bag of candy away every year to co-workers.

All the kids go to the mall to trick or treat or to a church parking lot.

The media has everyone scared.

What I normally do, and am doing it again this year is buy boxes of regular candy bars from Costco which I also eat such as Nature Valley's Salt and Sweet Nut Granola bars. This year I also bought a couple boxes of Pearson's Nut Rolls I give away first because I and my wife normally don't eat those. The children and their parent escorts both receive the treats, and most years I have less than one hundred needed to hand out. I've thought of having one dollar bills available as backups if needed, but there's suppose to be some snow possible, and that always slows everything down.
