one thing that's helped me...

...i take 1 psych drug daily, now. its one of the newer, "atypical" tranquilizers. I do this vitamin thing...its called Orthomolecular. At the core, for anxiety, stress, depression, all things psychiatric...its a lot b-complex, lots of vitamin c, vitamin e, and then high doses of some form of B3 (I go for niacinamide...no flush). It does -not- work immediately, but I felt better within couple months, and now I've been able to reduce the dosage of the tranquilizer. I have another drug, Neurontin, that I take now and then for anxiety or to help me sleep, but I don't need it nearly as often now, thanks to the vitamins.

Orthomolecular waxes and wanes in popularity. Its been around since the 50s, back when it was "Mega-Vitamin therapy for the Schizophrenias" (they diagnosed -everybody- as some kind of Schizophrenia back then...). These days, its making something of a come back. There's high dose vitamin C injections for various ailemnts, amino acids for health, on and on it goes.

here's a link to some free information on Orthomolecular, if you're interested. www.doctoryourself.com

Well, I've never had an STD and have been loyal to my wife..... humphhhhh.
Lol, just kidding. I have no idea what that is.
Sexually Transmitted Disease. That's what you get when you take more than 3 or 4 days off sick, of course. Everybody knows that.

Or, it could stand for Short Term Disability. Nothing negative about it. You get paid a percentage of your salary by an insurance company. I'm sure you know what it is but didn't get the acronym. If you were off for 6 weeks and 2 weeks, you had to have gotten a Sexually Transmitted Disease. :wink

Ahhh, ok lol.
Actually, I have to be off a year before that kicks in, and I get 75 percent.
I love my company. They treat me well.

That's Long Term Disability. Remember, you're talking to a guy who's worked in that industry for decades. Companies generally offer STD & LTD for no cost to their employees and a third party risk firm pays the employee around 75% of their base salary. Employees can opt to pay a little out if their paychecks each period to increase the percentage they receive in the event of a disability. Check your benefit package. I'd be shocked if you don't have both.

Think of it as your company paying for insurance on itself like you do for your car. If an employee has an event, the risk company steps in to pay on behalf of the company. There's the Reader's Digest answer to a question you never asked. :lol

I just went through open enrollment last week. Std is 75 for 12 months and Ltd is 60 and time is based on salary etc.
To get STD, you have to have a written notice of your disability before you can collect STD. In the meantime, it looks like you continue to collect your normal salary.
Hopefully I'll never need to know any more than that!

Praying for you and standing in agreement with you that you start walking in complete health in the name of Jesus our healer, amen.
Thank you! I woke up this morning with no headache! I still have pressure, but it's different. I'm getting better, and even laughing a bit.
Joel Osteens audio blessed in the darkness has been very encouraging for me, and is reminding me of not only what God has done in my life, but what he's doing in my life right now. It's helping me see through the funk that I've been in for the past 3 years and I captured that old feeling of feeling good. I thought I would never feel that weight off of me. But I know with God it is not only possible, but God is preparing me for greater joy to come.
We serve an awesome God!

Even though I'm only getting 6 hours of sleep....
I'm sure this is shaving years off my life, but 6 hours is a long night's sleep for me on the weekdays. I literally exist on 4 or 5. My alarm goes off at 4:15 every morning, just so I can get in the office and clean up all the emails I couldn't get to while in meetings the day before.

You're trying to recover, so I hope this changes for you. Happy to hear you're feeling better.

I know you and I have discussed your sleep patterns in the past. God has certainly designed us differently lol!
I took a couple sleeping pills last night and actually got a solid, undisturbed 7 hours, unlike the broken 5 or 6 I've been experiencing the past few weeks.
I don't think the sleeping pills are playing well with my other prescriptions.... probably not the smartest thing I've done lol!
That being said, I'm tapering off the prescriptions and should be fully off by Sunday. I have 1 Atavan left, and I'm holding it to see what happens without it...

What a nice day it is outside today in Michigan huh? I would love to go ride the bike with my wife today!
