I was just wondering because I'm a bit freaked out right now. Actually a LOT freaked out right now! :erm I was just out in the kitchen making lunch when all of a sudden a picture that had been haging up on the wall in the family room for several years fell off of it and nobody was even in the room! :shock Now I'm pretty sure that our house isn't haunted or anything, so there has to be a perfectly logical and perhaps even scientific reason for this right??? (please say yes because I'm about to get out the holy water lol!)
 
It prolly vibrated off the nails over years a wee bit at a time.

Even if it was spirits trying to scare you or whatever, we have authority over them! Tell them to leave, lol.

If we did have spirits in our home, then I would be the one leaving lol! :lol

Not always there has been times when they've been stubborn and disobedient and have gotten to the point of possessing people before. Besides that, I'm a fraidy cat. I'm like Scooby and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo,.. whenever there's a ghost or demon involved, I run! As fast as I can! :lol I wouldn't be able to be a Ghostbuster. :nonono Although, I have to admit, you make a really good point. The name of Jesus is pretty powerful. :cross
 
You know, I would probably just pray for the Lord to save me before I get the heck out of there and save myself! :lol
 
Every house has a certain amount of settling as the ground underneath it causes the foundation of the house to shift in certain degrees. Our house we rent is around 200 years old and does this more often then a newer house as I have had pictures fall.

I don't know, It comes in real handy for S'mores! :wink So you have seen Ghostbusters then. The old movies not the crappy remake. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for equality when it comes to men and women but the truth is that the movie just wasn't as good. :shrug Although Walk The Moon did an awfully good job covering Ray Parker Jr. I have to admit. :biggrin The new Ghostbusters' theme was almost identical to the old one.
 
Alright, this is for the people who can watch and listen to videos. Can you tell the difference between the two themes? I can, but it's very difficult to.







 
Im sure there is a perfectly normal reason for it like your house is haunted. Just joking, it most probably was just some type of movement in the house and it finally fell off the wall, or it could have been a small eathquake you didn't even feel it.

If it was an earthquake, you would think that other things in the house would have been effected by it though.

Pictures fall of walls sometimes. There could be many reasons behind it. If It was just hanging there all it would have needed is a bit of movement to come off, if you were in the kitchen and bumped something or put something down that could do it.

Umm,.. I don't think so. It was way up there on the wall and nobody ever touches it. I must admit, I am still a bit baffled by this but I'm pretty sure that gravity is involved with it in some way, shape, or form.

Houses move, and if a picture has been on the wall a long time and no one touches it over time it could have moved and been on edge. I think some type of vibration through the wall made it fall off. The nail or whatever holding it up could have become loose. A ghost is last on the list.

Plenty of those old homes I photo are well visited by the dead,lol
