[quote="Lewis W":2fl8kp2q]No that is not true, chapter 2 goes over chapter 1, it is called the Law Of Recurrence. Just like when Dueteronomy means second law, it goes over the laws God gave Moses in Genesis. and it might be worded a little different, but it does not deviate.

It's not the law of recurrence. :lol

Chapter 2 contains a parable that explains many things in this world. ;) :biggrin
It has been many years, but I think I am right, if my memory serves me right.[/quote:2fl8kp2q]

Who told the interpreters that it was the law of recurrence? God, or their own minds?

Only the Spirit can show us the truth of what is real. Especially when it comes to 3500 year old documents retranslated by people we never met. ;) :biggrin

:lol Well, many Spirit filled Christians are still in disagreement. ;)

Perhaps looking a little deeper will help. Check out my thread :yes

For better or for worse people will cling to beliefs that are proven to be wrong.
Until modern astronomy and space travel people believed the earth was the center of the universe. We now know it is just one planet circling one star among millions of stars in one galaxy among billions of galaxies.

So many things wrong with this thread. There are no dinosaurs mentioned in the bible. The 'Leviathan', the 'Behemoth' in Job--these are nonexistent monsters known from ANE mythology.

An Egyptian seal depicts a large pterosaur hunting a gazelle. The leaf shaped tail vane of the pterosaur is unmistakable. The long reptilian head has the double crest of a Scaphognathus above it. The two wings even exhibit the unique corrugated features seen in the Solnhofen Rhamphorhynchus fossil and the claws of a pterosaur. The level of detail is similar to that for the gazelle. The seal dates from 1300-1150 B.C. and is now in the Tel Aviv University’s Institute of Archaeology. Similarly, an Egyptian statue residing in a Berlin museum depicts legs with toes and claws, three wing claws; a prototagium (a portion of the wing above the arm known from pterosaur fossil impressions); and a tail vane. That pterosaur is shown hunting a falcon and also appeared to have the dental structure of a Scaphognathus.

In 600 BC, under the reign of King Nebuchanezzer, a Babylonian artist was commissioned to shape reliefs of animals on the structures associated with the Ishtar Gate. Centuries later, in 1887 AD, when German archaeologist Robert Koldeway stumbled upon the blue-glazed brick, that gate was rediscovered. The animals appear in alternating rows with lions, fierce bulls (rimi or reems in Chaldean), and curious long-necked dragons (sirrush). The lions and bulls would have been present at that time in the Middle East. But, on what creature did the ancient Babylonians model the dragon? The same word, sirrush, is mentioned in the book of Bel and the Dragon, from the Apocrypha. Both the description there and the image on these unearthed walls, which are now displayed in the Berlin Vorderasiatisches Museum, appear to fit a sauropod dinosaur.

Deep in the jungles of Cambodia are ornate temples and palaces from the Khmer civilization. One such temple, Ta Prohm abounds with stone statues and reliefs. Almost every square inch of the gray sandstone is covered with ornate, detailed carvings. These depict familiar animals like monkeys, deer, water buffalo, parrots, and lizards. However, one column contains an intricate carving of a stegosaur-like creature. But how could artisans decorating an 800 year old Buddhist temple know what a dinosaur looked like? Western science only began assembling dinosaurs skeletons in the past two centuries. There are no mythological figures among the roundels, so one can reasonably conclude that these figures depict the animals that were commonly seen by the ancient Khmer people in the twelfth century.

There are no wildebeests mentioned in the bible either, they are mythological creatures.

I believe the dinosaurs and mega fauna were made during the time of Enoch when the angels (demons) mated with the creation. The giants that were produced were found in every species, not just man. Scientists have found giant wombats, giant kangaroos, giant snakes, giant sharks, giant turtles, giant dogs and cats, and giant birds. Everything was giant. The book of Enoch, quoted in Jude, mentions that the evil spirits were also offspring, because they had invisible as well as visible offspring. It is one of the primary reasons the flood came in the first place. If God did not save the remnant of man and animals, nothing would have survived the age of giants.

There is a slight issue with ages of fossils

The fossils of dinosaurs have carbon 14 remaining in them. What is the decay rate of carbon 14? If carbon 14 is completely decayed in 100,000 years max, how is it possible for carbon 14 to have survived in dinosaur bones that are 100 million years old? This is the slight issue!

Can you provide some evidence to support that carbon-14 is present in dinosaur bones? Also, can you provide evidence that carbon dating (or more specifically carbon-14) is used to date fossils as I thought (and everything I've read supports this) they use other isotopes like uranium-238, uranium-235 and potassium-40.

When they were looting the tombs in Egypt and removing all the ancient treasures they found thousands upon thousands of mummified animals. Monkeys, crocodiles, dogs, cats. They found so many in fact that tons were sold to Europe as cheap fertilizer for plants.

Animal remains, skins, pelts have been used by countless cultures in reliigous ceremonies, as signs of wealth as clothing and decoration.

Why then are there no dinosaur skins, bones, skulls being found amongst the ruins of these ancient civilisations and cultures?

Over my life time the Bible has remained the same.... . The message is the same....

About 1956 while in grammar school the science text book had a picture of mans fossilized foot prints in the same 'path' as a dinosaurs.

None of those human/dinosaur tracks have been taken seriously, though.
