google or find a site that explains what the geneva convention(s) actually says about lawful detention of detainees and also what constitute an enemy combatant and what is a war crime.

its not hard. and then tell me what it says and you understand where i am coming from on the gitmo detainees and also what is says about the non actors and what it doenst deal with.

the very notion of those conventions come from clara barton a christian that started the red cross/international red cross.

Why do I care about what constantly re-written mans laws say about what a person is entitled to?

I was just playing around, didn't you see the smileys next to the statement, so just go on and take your exit from this topic.

The smileys just made it even more sickening. Sorry.

You wanna joke around about beating people up? Not funny.

then why bother asking what rights do the suspected terrorists have?

does the bible have laws that deal with say. road rage and define that?
or how to regualate wall street, run a free market ecomony, socialist, communist, or a fuedel system?
does it deal with worker safety when operating machinery?
does it have structural safety standards.
welding standards?

Do suspected terrorists have the right to due process YES OR NO? It's a moral not legal question.

It's the billion dollar question.
(I've added interest)

that is answered in the geneva convention!
you cant collect evidence on the battlefield when all you see is that a muzzle flash and engage the enemy and he surrenders. you aren trained in that, and hard to collect each round and determine which one of the hajis with guns did shoot you.

that is why the conventions state that the war detainee NEED NOT be charged to be detained, just held to the end of the war!. that is the problem when will the war end? so the nations must agree to something. and domestic terrorists fall under juris prudence of the country they commited the crime.

SUSPECTED terrorists I'm talking about, not military combatants or convicted terrorists.

Stop dodging. Do they have the right to due process YES or NO?

in america in combat? in america i answered that. we are fighting terrorists not an army.

right when i said this
Domestic Terrorist are subject to Juris Prudence of the nation they Commited the crime!
in america they are charged with that.

mcveigh was read his rights, and so was his accomplice.

in europe that is the same.

do all nations have the same rights we give no. but that is wrong.

i answered that along time ago.

reread it its there.

is said that if an american is caught in the act by civilians authorities he is read his rights and has rights. that has been done.

domestic terrorism is terrorism just done by u.s. citizens.

Ok forget it.....you clearly don't wanna face the question at hand or your own morals that stare at you in the mirror.

Oh come on man, give me a break, people like people like you are just no fun at all, nobody said anything except you. As far as I am concerned people like you are sickening. Do you ever watch TV or movies, I guess not, because you might see someone get beat up, Mr super Pacifist.

I can look past the personal comment but I won't have you sayin' I'm no fun.

I'm a great laugh.

No I mean your position is your position, just because I think that you are crazy, does not mean that you are not a good guy.:lol No but seriously I don't think that I was to aggressive I just won't budge just like you off of my stance. And just like you I will defend my stance, and will not waver, or bend.

What if you were to be convinced that Jesus wants his followers to be pacifists? Would you budge if there were compelling Biblical arguments for this?

That is being really unrealistic because Jesus still raises up warriors Jesus is a realist and He would not leave us defenseless. Jesus knows that we have to have protectors Romans 13 says (taking out wrath on those who are evil.) Now the Bible says this, so what do you have to say about that.

Romans 13 KJV

1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Where does it say kill people there?

I can tell you where Jesus says not to...

You don't always have to kill, but sometimes that comes with the territory, that is for the rulers to decide, you need to look at the this verse more carefully, and notice the word sword, what are they used for, and don't tell me for peeling apples.

Romans 13:4 KJV

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

what part of this dont you understand?

in some countries that dont give rights to the domestic terrorist.

juris prudence for the ignorant means established procedures in a court of law of that country that defined that.

we have rights for the accused as defined by the us.constitution
innocent till proven guilty
the miranda rights
the right to face the accuser.
trial by jury.

i agree with that. but however, it in the case of american muslim or any domestic terrorist that is supported by al-queda or such like shouldnt be televised nor allowed to have reporters as the terrorists would be encouraged.

that is what they want, case in point ksm.

does that suffice? i also said that countries that dont do this are wrong?

please dont ever call me a moral coward. its easy to sit back and say you did wrong in that ethical difficult situation. when youre not there.

i face a few of those myself.

looking back i made some mistakes but i wont share those.

ok, then what is that sword for? to make love. does jesus openly say that one shall not be a cop or work for the lord as a politician?

if you are politician in any level you will have some control over the laws and the criminal definition by law.

most police chiefs and or sheriffs are elected not voted in by a commision or city council.(political appointee).

likewise, if you are governor of the states you will be in authority over guardsmen and have to use them in an emergency.(AND sometimes they will have to use lethal force).

that is what lewis means.
