So I was wondering, when Jesus rose from grave I think they said something about a cloth being torn, that allowed us to be able to communicate through prayer? Am I anywhere close!? Anyone willing to kinda go over that and read up on that?

i think J, it is when He was crucified and Jesus said " it is finished" the veil or the curtain in the temple was torn which means that we already have a direct acess to the Father through prayer....

Matthew 27:51 " The moment Jesus cried out from the cross, “It is finished!†and died that thick curtain was torn from the top to the bottom "

Yeah...what significance does the curtain have though? Because I can understand that was maybe a symbolic thing? What was this veil?

Thanks for your post, this story just always confuses me on how it connects, it's kinda a blur for me because it does not add up.

the veil or curtain in the temple is where the Most Holy Place is , it is traced way back during Mose's time when God commanded to design His temple.

Exodus 26:31-34. “You shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen; it shall be made with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman. You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks also being of gold, on four sockets of silver. You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall serve for you as a partition between the holy place and the holy of holies. You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies.â€

This is where the Highest Priest will meet God and pray for the people or the of Israel.

Now during the Old testament times, the people cannot go directly to the God in that temple to pray and ask for God's blessing or ask forgiveness for their Sins. The Highest Priest do that for them. He is like the one who channels God's message to the people and the request of the people to God. He is the one who represent for the people in short. So he must be pure everytime He went to that place called " Holy of Holies " and the " Most Holy Place".
