Mizzy:

More snow, eh?... :chin

Blessings.

Yep! And it's beautiful! I might even get a tattoo to commemorate this day. Just kidding, bruthah! :lol

Mizzy:

Well, I don't doubt that it is. Up here, anyway, in Canada, the novelty wears off.

Blessings.

(PS: the novelty of the snow, I mean, not of tattoos.)

Colorado Springs, Snow all melted off, warm and warming up fast 48° F at the present time but feels warmer.

Edward: Finally, right? (I guess all the ' Springs golfers will have been getting a bit impatient, right?)

Blessings.

Yeah, finally! It would be a good day for golfing, though I'm not a golfer. I'm good at putt-putt. We went to the driving range before too and I was impressed with myself. I could drive them out to about 175 yds, and got a couple out to the 225 mark! Makes me wonder if I should take up golfing, lol.

Edward:

Anyway, I think I read that the original 'Springs golf course dates from the 19th century, so they must have figured long ago how to deal with the local weather.

Blessings.

Well, the way to deal with weather in the Springs (generally) is to wait it out. It is said that if you don't like the weather here, to wait 15 minutes and it will change. lol.

Edwards: Well, golfers need a lot of patience in any case, right? not least, for the weather in the 'Springs.

Blessings.

Well it was beautiful just before and i just put my washing out then BAM a huge thunderstorm just hit. hail, thunder, lightning. It was acturally quite funny cause the farmer next door was at a farm gate and i seen lightning and he got out his car and as soon as he went to open the gate a huge thunder hit exact at the time he went to open the gate and he jumped in the air like 10ft he got such a fright and jumped back in his truck. It was so funny. God bless that man.

kiwidan:

I guess the bad weather blows down on you guys from the Cook Mountains, right?

Mostly wrens over there, aren't they? (Stewart Island Wren)

You talking about the birds wren?. Not sure. I never been there. Its quite amazing really. Most travellers who come for a two week holiday have probably seen more of the country than i have. Well i have seen all the north and part of the south. Thats it. A very small country i live and i have only seen about 55% in over 30 years. No wonder im so depressed. I think i need to get out and do more.

kiwidan:

Well, it's all comparative. I've been many times in Monaco and it's only half a square mile. (It has the full range of winds, called different names according to whatever direction they are from, though. A fifth of it is very flat and reclaimed from the sea; some of it is tall and rocky, being the foothills of the Alps, and so on.) So you guys in NZ have got a lot of variety down there, too, I guess. I'd like to do the trip across the Marlborough Sounds from Wellington to Picton. (I remember reading Katherine Mansfield's 'The Picton Ferry'.)

Sunny sunny Springtime here. In the Pacific Northwest our "Summer" is compressed into a period of about 6 weeks. 73°F tomorrow. So sweet this is. And have I told you? Getting some soft-fatties this week for the motorcycle. It's all about the grip. Them new tires are better than teeth!

Oh, I'm getting new teeth in two weeks too. :tongue

There are other things too. The Lord, your God is breaking me with Love like I've never seen nor heard of. There is much more in this Day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Got a little rain yesterday and it was rather cool only getting up to about 35F. Today, it is overcast and a little warmer. The sun keeps trying to poke a little light through once in a while but the clouds are persistent.
