What's up?

I've just started university again for this year. Going well so far, but hopefully I'll be more organised than last year.

Not much else going on over here. Just the regular stuff.

What part of Northern Europe do you live in?

BTW the teens section is seasonal, and is most active in the middle of the year, when the United States is on their summer break.

I've been hibernating sorry...such a busy year plus I got a new device and it wants to charge me for tapatalk again. Ill get it soon. On the bright side I'm a year older, well In 47 minutes!

Well Happy Birthday Jman! :bday

Great to 'see' you here again. Will you be here more in your summer break (I know that's some time away, lol)

Busy with school and stuff. I need to cut down on computer time.
But I'm going to have an actual summer break this year. :biggrin Plus we're planning to take a trip to visit relatives around July (because my cousin is getting married), which I'm really looking forward to.

haven't posted in here in a while! School has kept me quite busy, studying medicine is a tough grind, especially for a lazy person like me haha

Ooh, medicine? What area are you looking to get into?

I did once have a childhood dream of doing radiology - ie x-rays, MRI etc. That dream died when I found out I don't like biology :biggrin

Good question.. not really sure about that. I'm still in my first year though, so I have lots of time to decide. After going to Christian medical conferences and Urbana, I really wish I liked surgery, because they are extremely valuable in the mission field. Unfortunately, I'm not really that interested in it and I'm really bad at anatomy so it doesn't look like I'll end up being one. Probably leaning towards becoming a GP right now, but I still 4 more years after this one to decide!

Nice. :)

Aren't you from Canada, eh? What made you study medicine in Ireland?

Welcome back! :wave

What have you been up to?

New school, new house, new discovered life path, new social life, you get the idea haha and thnx glad to be back. It appears the teen forum has been dead in my time gone haha

Yeah, the teen forum is usually dead except for American summer holidays, lol.

I hope you can stick around! :)

Its really difficult to get into medicine in Canada and you need an undergraduate degree before you apply for medical school. I applied for Ireland after high school and didn't think I had a chance of getting in because my grades were pretty mediocre, and honestly I don't even know why they took me. It was very much God's grace opening up this opportunity for me! Also, I like your use of the word 'eh' :)

Oh ok. Here in Australia medicine is super difficult - high high school marks and an interview *may* secure you a spot. Great to hear you got in! :)

Yeah here in the United States medicine is extremely difficult as well. Which, fortunately for me is the path I've chosen. 3.9 GPA alone won't get you into most M.D schools, a great voulenteer/extra-ciricular and things to prove interest in medicine, an unusual personality/great ethics, a great MCAT score, and a stellar personal statement on your application should give you a good chance of n interview or admission.
