What does it mean to be born again?

Robert. Scripture does not say that if you are not born again you go to hell. What it does say is that unless you are born again you cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:5). This is probably the most fundamental verse in all of scripture that prescribes the absolute criteria for anyone to...

    The Spirit-Soul Relationship...

Yes ... a few from the NT - for which there is a very good reason. What about the ones that are 'all throughout scripture'?

I'd be interested to see where all these scriptures are ..

    The Spirit-Soul Relationship...

Scripture says that the Spirit gives birth to spirit. ie the Spirit of God gives birth to the spirit of man. If this is so, then surely it is only those who are born of the Spirit who are 'triune' beings.

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

I'd like to test the water on the subject of salvation since for me it is key to understanding what salvation is, and therefore whether or not, it is possible to lose it. Since Jesus said that no one can see or enter the kingdom of heaven unless they are born again, a notion that was...

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

Yes, I am aware of that but I don't understand what that has to do with the op. Was it relevant or was it just a side note? Whether relevant or not I don't see any scriptural support for your opinion on Pharaoh's 'judgment'. And on the topic of predestination to hell, most, I believe, totally...

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

The question was in post 65. You then went on to ask if I believed that Pharaoh was predestined to hell. Am I missing something or should I ask what your point is/was. Thanks

Hey JLB. How are you going on the Pharaoh question?

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

No, if by 'hell', you are meaning a place of eternal punishment ... but probably for a different reason than you.

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

Thanks JLB. Yes, I appreciate it was a response to Reba. I came into the thread late, read it and while I hold a different opinion, wondered how it relates to the Op. What does Pharaoh have to do with the possibility of a Christian losing their salvation ... in your opinion? Thanks

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

Hey JLB. Doesn't look like you have responded to my last post. It referred to an earlier post of yours regarding Pharaoh and I'd like to understand what you were meaning by it. Thanks

So what was it you were saying about Pharaoh then?

So what are you saying JLB? That Pharaoh was granted eternal life outside of Christ?

Is it Possible for a True Christian to lose their Salvation.

I don’t believe it is possible to ‘do’ the will of God unless one is child of God, ie born of the Spirit of God. So for me, man does not ‘do’ the will of God, in order to ‘be’ saved or ‘be’ in relationship with God. He is born of God and therefore the fruit of his life is to do the will of God.

    Salvation with Security - Parts 1, 2, 3

The question I would ask is, what scriptural support is there for 'accepting Jesus as your saviour'?
