It's actually an old drawing from two or three years ago, when my art started to improve in ways that were exciting to me.

Hi there; been away with my wife in NY; good to be back. BTW, your profile says 20; aren't you due for a b-day soon? mine is in December... Blessings.

Well, interesting. (Maybe you should reconsider going to art college eventually.)
So does the picture make you think of a particular tune or song?
        Blessings.

Okay. Well you might want at least to consider art college, anyway, if you can get funding; because you have a real ability. Blessings.

It's a proven fact that smoking isn't healthy and that it's addictive, so it's a no-brainer for me.

And yeah I voted that I've never smoked.

Thanks for your vote! And I agree about the no brainer thing, and its addictiveness, though I'm sure the folk in your church who smoked when they were younger than you would also probably say they already knew this to some extent when they started. Ty, anyway.

Hello, I'm new here and I noticed I am not able to post on some forums due to privileges. I would like to post on the teens forum. Is there anything that I must know about this? Thanks.

Hi, welcome to CF! All you have to do to get access to teens is request access and confirm your age, and then I can get an admin to add you. For access to teens, you do have to be between 13 and 19.

Right now it's pretty much done through PMs. Click on a user name --> "start a new conversation".
You can send me a PM confirming you're within the age range and then I can contact an admin about adding you.

The process used to work a little differently, but the site recently was moved here over from vBulletin.

Hi there, questdriven. You seem to have a new avatar again; so did you draw it? Blessings.
PS: Sounds like from what you said your mom likes anime, too, and the accompanying music. (Maybe one day she's come to like Christian hard rock, too?)
      Blessings.

Yeah. She grew up with Weird Al, as a teen anyway. He's always been one of her exceptions when it comes to "that kind of music". (Another exception being Charlie Daniels. He's actually a Christian and came out with some Christian albums in the 90's.)

And yeah, if my mom knew some of the content in the anime I watch, she'd probably be pretty concerned.
It's not THAT bad (although it depends on what perspective you're coming from, I guess), but she's always been kinda on the strict side about what she allows and what she doesn't. So while I'm free to watch what I want, if she knew some of the content, she'd probably scold me more.

PS: Did you think you saw sth bad in the video? I hadn't noticed; Jethro thinks he has. Pumpkins are my wife's favorite, anyhow, and the clip is about how to carve a pumpkin with a stencil.

I actually didn't watch the video yet.
Probably typical halloween stuff, right? I could see why those wouldn't be appropriate for church, but they wouldn't bug me otherwise. But eh, different opinions abound and that's a good thing.

Nah, we've never been makeup people. So she doesn't have any that I know of.
In any case, for the eyebrows, I saw a video where you could take a glue stick and put that across your eyebrow. And then top it with a little bit of washable paint. Simple, easy, done.

Yes, I know; the piece by Pachabel. It's very harmonious. And very different from hard rock, as well.
I must say that I love traditional hymns, as well.
But I think you also said that now you're more into hard rock than your brother is. Do you think you are likely to grow more and more into hard rock?
        Blessings.

IDK. I don't know how I could be much more into it than I've already been, unless I were to begin to listen to it exclusively which I don't plan on.

Interesting comments just now about musical appreciation, on the thread! :) You must have given it a great deal of thought, anyway. (Maybe your mom respects your Christian hard rock inclined tastes now, even if she isn't into it herself.) Blessings.

He's liked it for possibly a little longer than I did, having discovered Crush 40 and even one of Skillet's songs first.
He's less into it than I am, though.

You said you were 'an avid listener', when it comes to hard rock; I guess at your new church there may be others also who are avid listeners to it; maybe you'll find that some of them also share wider artistic interests with you, and you guys could be like iron sharpening iron when you compare notes and impressions, anyway. Blessings.
