"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom. 2:13 Are you missing something? Looks like it.
And Paul also said "For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom. 2:13 Problem #1 for the contemporary assumptive of salvation.
Regarding 1 Jn. 2. Friend there is not a single local assembly noted as a "Christian" church in the word today that even has a Jesus commandment class. Keeping his commandments is about a far thought from a contemporary "Christian" mind as the outside bounds of the universe.
So then. The scriptures are not understandable until you Greek-ah- rize them aye? Well then every Greek ever born who knows Greek ought to have been enable to explain what the scripture actually means aye? Have you ever had the slightest mindful hint that James and Paul are not referencing the...
So then that particular statement is false? Reading Rom. 2: beginning with "God will give to each person according to what he has done." thru 16 I don't see any mention of "but evidence of the Holy Spirit working in them". Maybe the Holy Spirit calls people to obey some law you don't believe...

"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom. 2:13 Maybe you had better reconsider that doing something to be saved is not a falsehood.
"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom. 2:13 All the men whom God appointed apostles taught no other perspective of salvation.
There were more than 12 apostles. Jesus is classified as an apostle in Heb. 3:1, Paul and others are holders of this office if it is an office. It is my opinion that a man is classified as an apostle if he has been entrusted with the message. There maybe one or more of them that are...
Sir it seems to me that there is a verse missing from his list.
"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom. 2:13
