Yep. I had to take a class to a Medieval Jousting facility, and I took the camera along. Mostly, it's the ancient 2.5 135mm Takumar. Those old primes are better than almost anything you can get today.

I need the aggravation. Sorry.

I don't mind arguing. And it's nice to have people who can argue and not get angry. I like that.

Oh, I am sorry Jason but poor lighting is almost never an issue with GIMP. The lighting must be so poor that a wide open arpature or an F16 would have made no difference. Sorry, but that is one of the best tools in Gimp and Photo Shop.

If the picture is of something not moving, one of the easiest things to do in GIMP is to take several pictures of the object at high ISO (which would mean a lot of noise) and then stack them in layers and merge them. The result will be a pretty good picture. Comes in handy for me, sometimes.
