I have a lot of favorite non essential foods on my list.
here are 4.

Potato Chips
Ice cream sandwiches
any type of homemade cookie that is soft
fudge

do you have any non-essential foods that you truly enjoy?

oh man....mah pappy's been buying these Keebler cookies...JIF...as in, the peanut butter. They're round, covered in fudge, then there's chocolate cookie and peanut and peanut butter action on the inside.

Cheeseburger on the beach you say?
Pardon me for this - even a virtual whiff from miles away will + poundage and clog arteries

but...
you can't say I didn't warn ya:

Hunting cheese burgers is a favorite habit of mine. Spring time means "roadtrip" and there is only one destination (where the front tire leads). My friends and family send me pics of these tempting delights, as if to rub my nose in it.

It's almost like they're saying, "Ha! Look what I got and you can't have."

But the joke is on them. They can 'rub my nose' in a burger like that anytime! BOOM! We used to sent text to our group pagers at work about who had the best lunch. But we've upgraded to pictures and will, in all likelihood, be sending 3D videos soon, right? Complete with ye old smell-o-vision to further regale the senses.

"Did you see the size of that thing? Even his potato was the size of a small rowboat! That boy sure can pack it in! YIKES"

I have a weakness for any salty snack. While I know how to eat properly, there is too much processing with such snacks usually in the form of soy (or other vegetable oils) and if sweetened, no longer just sugar but high fructose corn syrup. A lot of the stuff added to foods are GMO's and bad for inflammation and heart/cancer issues. Hate to be so negative discussing a simple bag of corn chips. LOL (use to be simple)

I've always loved doughnuts but have recently developed an allergy to gluten. Still looking to find decent gluten free doughnuts.

I love Pepperoni Pizzas made by a Sicilian man if Frankfurt Germany. He cooked them in a wood fired Stone Oven and the MPs would let you make the four or so foot walk to thd Stone Oven to pick one up. Mama MIA the oil just flowed off the pie and dripped from the elbow, and people wonder why I have heart attacks. And my Cardiologist told me not to eat Chitterlings, Liver, Gizzards, Tripe, or Manudo and to give Pepperoni. Of course I cut back, a little, but I told him, he does not know how to enjoy food and that it is appointed unto a mzn to die, only once, so praise God for all gifts and enjoy a good pizza while you can, you are gonna die anyway! Well.... not you, just the body!

We had pizza with the grandkids this weekend at New Haven's Frank Pepe's Pizzeria. Best I've had in a very long time. :)
See, that's another thing! My grandchildren are precious to me and one of them, Ashley, is a just married, about a year and 2/3 now, and marriage has just made her glow and any heart doctor that thinks this old fart will not be seen having pizza with an early 20s blond headed woman better learn something about life, all those observers do know I would die for her just because of parental love. And I way to stinkin' gossip now.

Maybe a can of lightly salted Cashews in place of any type of highly saturated chip would please you.
