I've just finished Battlefield of the Mind for the 4th time in 2 months. This book has blown me away and changed my life 180 degrees--deep depression lifted, suicide ideation eliminated, unlimited joy in my life for the first time. Next to the Bible (of course), I consider Battlefield of the Mind the most powerful and important book I have ever read.

Sooooo, I just wanted to see how this book has impacted others who have read it. Comments please.

GOD BLESS!

Yes, me too vor sure! I don't think I'm stretching a point when I say that the book probably saved my life. I am curious about why so many people have negative feelings towards her and her Ministry. I searched the Web and found a multitude of sites with vary negative--and, in my mind very silly--accusations such as in reality she is a part of a witches coven; that she is not a Christian because she dares to teach men in her lecture presentations; claimed that Jesus was tortured by Satan for the 3 days in the tomb; etc. Most of it pretty meaningless stuff. I would welcome any discussion on these negative feelings towards her work because I have read her book 4 times as I said, and to me every work seem to come from the lips of God and I could not find anything which went against mainline Christian teaching. I did the 4 times through the book reading marathon to assure the teachings were all "kosher". In my opinion, they were. (IBy the way, I did the search precisely because I never felt drawn to female Bible teachers and was sceptical that they could address "male" issues [as per Paul's admonition.])
These negative feeling towards Joyce Meyer are of interest to me given my experience with her writings. Any response is welcome!

i use to listen to joyce Myers the southern baptist and independent baptist preach hard against her. i have read few quotes she has made .that i scratched my head on. but i have heard her say many things i agree with. my biggest disagreement with her was not what she said. but when she had the face lift /plastic surgery to make her look younger. a older preacher man said preaching was like eating fried chicken eat the meat and throw the bones away . i have read the book several years ago. there will always be opposition to any ministry

my big problem is her lavish lifestyle. I'm all about successful Christians living well, but...wow. Plastic surgery is her business, but multi-million dollar mansions, jet planes, etc....that's pushing it. Plus, if I recall correctly, the ministry was investigated by the IRS or something because of how they use donations.

If you also remember, the IRS found no problems. As to her lavish lifestyle--she's earned it! THE BATTLE OF THE MIND alone has sold over 4 million copies and she has written over 100 books.God rewards His servants well. If you check, her foundations support a bunch of worthy charities, missionaries, and other Godly causes. Take the time to check it out.
Anyway, my primary concern is that all the inflammatory railing against her has turned many away from a book which could literally
change their lives. I mentioned The Battle of the Mind was literally a life-saver for me. A Christian Book Store near my home states that they have no dealings with her publishing house. This, to me, is tragic!
