Have you ever dreamed that you could fly? Tell us about it. Did you fly The so-called Superman style (with arms out in front of you), or was it with your arms down at your sides? (Dunno what that's called).

I have dreamed that I could fly many times over the years. My dreams about flying are weird because it has evolved over time. When I first dreamed that I could fly, I would dream that my arms were down, and I had to run and jump into the wind. It wasn't easy and was difficult to gain altitude. There was also a sense of a potential to crash easily or run out of wind so to speak.

But over time it wasn't about jumping into the wind anymore. I could take off like Superman and fly anywhere I wanted to. Maintaining altitude wasn't a problem after that because I could fly better I guess, lol.

A couple times I dreamed that Jesus was teaching me how to fly. He had ahold of my ankles and was flying below me, teaching and talking while we flew. Those were cool dreams! :)

My first dreams were of flying one of the first Mono-Coupes with five souls for seating space. It had a 985 cu. in. Radial and it was awesome and looked a lot like a De Haviland DH2 Beaver. They might have been inspired by my dad's book series he had as a child that inspired him to go Air Force. They were about a Reporter that flew a Monp-Coupe and was always pulling somebodies bacon out of the fire for them.

Flying a plane eh? That's cool. Did you fly IRL too?

I love flying dreams! So much fun. I can't wait...

If you mean IFR, yes, in the dreams I was very skilled on the instruments. So skilled that in real life I wrote my dad, the Air Force Master Sergeant that loved jets that I had learned to fly IFR and IIFRR. When he werote back and asked what IFRR was because he knew Instrument Flight Rules but was certain the Air Force did not have an IFRR system of flight, that it must be Army Helicopter only.

He later told me he was drinking his after work Beer when he read my answer and nearly peed himself laughing. I told him he had it all wrong. When ever I IDed a road or a Railroad line I could follow it by never getting over a thousand foot off the deck. IFRR was a joke for a long time after I got out.

No, IRL is In Real Life. I was asking if you fly planes in real life or just in your dreams.

I never went for my license but I can fly helicopters. My first ship was an H13 Sioux and the rest were HU1s, and later designated UH1s but no 19 year old pilot lives that will not teach the Crew Chief to fly when not in a War Zone and most 0of my eight years was i9n a Peace Time Army. I feel like I could sit down in the Pilot's Seat right now and take her up again. I would need room the spin around because it has been a very long time since I had the feel of coming off the ground and kicking the tail toi keep her from spinning.
Other than that I flew Control Line and R/C aircraft until the MS took me down.

I sometimes dream that I can jump hundreds of feet into the air and go places that way.
I don't think I've eve had dreams where I could fly. The trend in my dreams right now seems to be wrestling poisonous snakes and alligators.

I feel as if I'm being warned. But I'm not sure why. There are quite a few places in scripture where dreams are interpreted by Godly people.
Genesis 40:12 Joseph interprets Pharaohs dream.
Daniel 1:17 states that Daniel was a good dream interpreter, and does interpret a dream for King Nebuchadnezzar.
Acts 2:17 says And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:.../

Now based on that, I would think that her dream may have some spiritual significance. Dreams are real, interpretation is real.
Now, I am no dream interpreter. But I did have a dream about snakes before and I did have it interpreted, then prayed about it and received confirmation...and the bottom line is that is was a positive dream for me personally. It was a very weird dream and scared me. I thought it was negative...I was wrong.

I will not recount the dream here, because it was personal, and I don't want to make anyone here mad either.
But since we have biblical precedence about dreams in scripture, I advised our sister, that perhaps an interpretation is in order?
Pray about it. Seek interpretation. I wont plug any interp sites, because I know that's frowned upon. But it's not hard. I know enough about it to know that, dream symbolism is almost cut and dried and can be found many places. Even a little digging may shine some light upon it for our Sister.

What's wrong with that? :confused

No, and I would be careful as how you resolve your experience. There was a woman woken by a mountain lion that crashed through her bedroom window and landed in her bed.
"“She was asleep and it landed on her bed and actually at first I think she said she thought she was dreaming, it didn’t seem real," apartment manager Francis Muniz said."

Edward, what if you think you're dreaming, you are really flying, and then wake up a thousand feet in the air having no idea how to flap your arms up and down fast enough to keep you airborne? In sheer necessity you may revert back to a dinosaur, quickly evolve to an eagle, and then soar into the side of a mountain instead of straight out falling to the earth. :shrug

I l live in the middle o f Cougar rich territory and if one of the big boys comes through the window and needs my hospital bed, he, she or it can have the bed and I'll go sleep in my recliner in the livingroom.
