.....in Christ Jesus because Jesus wrote all O.T Books.

You make this kind of statement, but even Jesus himself declared the word's that I speak are not mine.

John 12:48-50
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

If Jesus said the words that I speak are not mine, why would you attribute all the writing of the old testament to Jesus?

Here is a piece of loving instruction from the Torah for you.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

I'm sorry Jason but everything I read from the scriptures, I see Jesus. He was before Abraham. (John 1-3)
I know that but the use of Meribah,is a tradition to avoid using the Name in vain.

It's also implied that it was in use before the first advent

Nothing wrong with the law, just no one could keep it. Not with a sin nature, the law pointed the sin nature out. When men under the law failed they thought it was just because they had just failed.
They did not know what made them fail, other than disobedience to the law. They knew they sinned but did not know anything about a sin nature.
So the law is Holy, given by God.
The greater thing that was hidden from their minds was that God had in him a plan to be Father. More than just an angry Old Testament God of times past Hebrews 1:1-2,
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Same God, different attributes, and a birthing would enter into His way of handling humanity.

John 19:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Greater than anything He is Father to all that believe on the name of His Son.

Hello (Shalom) my friends, I think we need to discuss the Torah. If I'm right, in coming against the popular notion that the Torah and the Commands of Moses are done away with when Grace came into being thru Christ Jesus, The loving instruction of the Elohim (Trinity) all the "Called Out One's" are missing out on the needed instruction of how to defeat Satan and his minions in our daily lives.

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." The Paleo Hebrew says, "If you love Me, you shall guard My Commands."....Strong's Concordance....
tēreō
tay-reh'-o
From τηρός teros (a watch; perhaps akin to G2334); to guard (from loss or injury, properly by keeping the eye upon

Someone will say "Moses' Law is obsolete now that Jesus Christ (Yahshua Ha` Mashiah) came and completed the Law." Now, that's correct, my friends (qodeshim). What I'd like to point out is a forgotten truth about Yashua is, where did Moses get the Law? Right!! Moses received the Law from Jesus (Yahshua)

The Old Testament (1st Covenant) and the New Testament (Renewed Covenant) were both written by inspiration thru Moses & the Apostles by the Author Yahshua ha` Mashiah. So, both Covenants were, in reality, written by Jesus, using different men. So, what's the difference?

The difference is how does a person received righteousness. In the 1st Covenant, righteousness came by adhering to the Law. Righteousness came to the Jew by "works" of their own. The problem was, no one could live up to all the Laws.

Yahshua came to fulfill the Law, which He did! And righteousness comes thru Him to all who are "called out ones" Who are drawn by the Holy Spirit (Ruah ha` Qodesh) to believe and trust in the Son of Yahweh. That person becomes righteous, only by receiving the righteousness of Jesus (Yahshua), not by works of the Law.

So, do we just cast away the Old Testament, NO!! Jesus wrote the Old Testament as well as the New. The first 5 Books of the O.T. are called the Torah. Remember, Jesus wrote the Torah. Why did He write those Books? Jesus (Yahshua) wrote what His Abba Father wanted. Abba Father gave forth "loving instruction" to His children to live responsibly to Him & our neighbors, and here's a big one, how to escape the traps of Satan & his minions.

If you've read this far, Bravo!! Thank you for putting up with what's been burning in my heart to instruct those who love Yahshua and who want to stay on the "narrow & straight path"

Within the Torah, there is so much godly instruction that helps us to stay on that narrow path that leads to LIFE. Yahshua is the Way, Truth, and Life. I have studied the Torah many times, and each time, Yahshua has revealed new wonderful instruction to me that draws me ever so close to my Abba Father's heart and His call to why He chose me to be His bond Servant to the sheep of His pasture.

Lastly, I hope my using of the Paleo Hebrew names and words don't irritate or confuse. There are so many modern western mind set names which derive from pagan origin that I'm trying to use and teach. Once I know that a name for our Elohim has a pagan origin, I'm responsible to use the names that YHWH used when He wrote on the tablets and gave them to Moses. they are the most ancient words known to mankind.

Thank you my friends, I love you all, and value you folk for who you really are, precious Saints that Abba Father and His Son paid the ultimate price on the cross to make you His. :hug

Great topic my friend, and one that needs to be clarified to be more clearly understood.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 1 John 5:2

With loving instruction, how does someone stay on the narrow and straight path? Some paths are lined with stone. Some paths are lined with flowers. Some have gone to the weeds. But what defines the boundaries for the straight and narrow path that those who love Christ want to stay on?

The scriptures, from Genesis 1:1 through the very last verse must be mentally recconciled, they are the borders.

Thanks old Buddy. I could use your help on this one.

The New Jerusalem that's at the end on the narrow road and Yahshua at the end with His arms open wide to receive you, a faithful Servant.

Hi ez, The straight and narrow path was under the law of Moses. ("Therefore, all things whatever ye would that men would do to you, do you even so to them; for this is the Law (Law of Moses) and the prophets. Matt. 7:13-14) That is the Old Covenant and He was teaching Israel The Law of the Old Covenant. The New Covenant did not start until Pentecost (Acts 1:1-2:47) . The Church is Now under the New Covenant. Read it for yourself (Heb. 8:6-13) So the Old Covenant passed away....not the law. For we are now under the Law of God's grace in Jesus Christ. Under the Old Covenant the law condemned man and sentenced man to death. Under the New Covenant the law condemned man and sent him to Christ. If you are not getting or understanding what God has done for us in Jesus Christ, you will never be free of the fear of guilt and death by excepting God's grace and calling on the name of the lord (Rom. 10:13) (1 Cor. 1:2) (Hebrews Chapter 9) You are missing out on the Joy of Salvation by the indwelling Spirit and it abundance of Grace. Study the Scriptures prayerfully.

The scriptures, from Genesis 1:1 through the very last verse must be mentally recconciled, they are the borders.

But if you have truly reconciled the scriptures from Genesis 1:1 all the way through to Revelation 22:21, then you would have reconciled that the words of the book are sealed.

The New Jerusalem that's at the end on the narrow road and Yahshua at the end with His arms open wide to receive you, a faithful Servant.

The New Jerusalem per your words are at the end of the narrow road. If it is at the end of the narrow road, then it is only a beacon off in the distance. What it does not do is define the borders of that narrow road that you walk to get to the New Jerusalem.

Douglas, I was not asking for advice on how I am to walk the narrow road. Chopper made a statement about those who wanted to stay on the straight and narrow path. I want him to define what that straight and narrow path is. But you answered it: the straight and narrow path is is under the Law.

Fear? Understanding? What can I tell you? I understand that you won't find Christ on the straight and narrow path, you will find him in the broad way. Do you fear the Lake of Fire? Do you understand what it is?

Matthew 7:13-15 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. 15. "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Read something new all the time. How can any of my sisters and brothers in Christ ever think the moral law, the ten commands, no longer apply?Great post Chopper.

Hi ez, I do not fear the lake of fire. Not because of anything I have done, but because of what God has done in Jesus The Christ. I know I deserve the lake of fire. (look what man has done with what God has given him) Have you ever studied the close history of men and war and the atrocities they committed against people. The Taliban, Isis, The list goes on, even from the beginning of time to even now. Men are worse and perverted then any animal. We deserve annihilation. And what I understand about the lake of fire is this, It is the absence of being with God. To me, that would be unbearable. Since I know what it is like to be near Him.

So quick to quote the one verse, but surely you don't understand what I mean by it. But then again, what do I know? I was found sick. But those on the straight and narrow? What need of a physician have they?

If you are still walking on the straight and narrow, then are you declaring that you have not yet come to life in Christ. Few there be that find it. But many have come to the death of Christ.

How can the lake of fire be the absence from God when the Lake of Fire is a description of the Glory of the Lord?
