Why do you question yourself about being capable of serving God when all God wants is our availability not our ability? Anyone who has surrendered their own life to Jesus has the ability for it is in our witness of Jesus in our own lives that draws others to Gods calling.

Many feel insignificant and intimidated by those who seem to know scripture as they could never speak the word with the knowledge that others have, but this should not be anyone’s excuse. Many people can quote the whole Bible, but yet have no true understanding of what they are quoting as many Biblical teachings come by traditional interpretations instead of knowledge given by the Holy Spirit.

As a child of God what is prohibiting you from speaking to others? Could it be that you are shy in front of others or you are scared of what others would think of you? I know you are not ashamed of the Gospel or the name of Jesus, but a fear of speaking to others overwhelms you especially if they ask you questions you can not answer. I’ve been ask many questions that I could not answer, but what I do is tell those who ask that I do not know the answer, but I will look it up and get back to them and this shows others that you too are still learning as we will never exhaust Gods word as we continue to learn something new every time we study. By others asking me questions challenges me to dig even deeper into the word and I love to be challenged in this way.

There is no one greater than another in the kingdom of God as God is no respecter of person and loves all his creation with an unconditional love that allows anyone to answer his call of salvation no matter whom they may be or what they have done. We are Gods mouthpiece here on Earth and it is only by the Holy Spirit speaking through us that we can reach others just by simply giving our own testimony how we came to accept Jesus into our own lives. We all have a testimony and a personal relationship with Jesus so just start out by giving what you already know because we can never give above our own knowledge and this is where our ability becomes Gods availability.

Wow and AMEN! Beautifully said and every word is true, yes the field needs more workers that’s for sure. So many hungry souls crying out in a world that seldom cares. It breaks my heart to see Christians, back biting one another and even betraying their own brethern over a non believer.

Jesus did nothing wrong, but yet they still called for Barabbas, a murderer. It’s baffling amd I still find people just like that. It truly is so sad.

Unfortunately or fortunately your post is the only thing and I completely agree with you a hundred percent.

I don't try to share my take on God's advice anymore because I been ran out of town 3 time's when I did.

Believe it or not some folk call me a saint until they hear me speak of Gods advice because God don't advise folk to try to take advantage of His kindness.

People hear about me coming and think "yay! we going to Heaven" no matter how we live or how we treated folk.

Then they see that I don't believe that and they run me out of town again but I'm currently in this place where I'm told numerous times a day how much they hate me,threatened and basically persecuted.

This by "good christian folk" that's OK though because I'm use to it by now.

God never called me a saint He just said that I have to be His eyes and ears because He can't see the corruption of the world , I guess that it is hidden by satan.

These folk that act this way blame me for how they chose to live what they chose to believe.

One of these people actually said to me one time that God will magically make it so that Hitler will deserve to be in Heaven so he'll do it with everyone else also.

I don't think so.

They gambled their souls on being able to take advantage of Gods kindness, its a shame that they did that.

Welcome to the club, Brother!

Bam. Well said, Sister.
I couldn't find a double like button, so hadda just like it, lol.

I'm not trying to disparage folk I believe that folk that honestly didn't believe in God or His advice because they had no reason? He gonna give them a reason then they will change but it won't be by magic but hard work, I think that that's why people hate me.

They thought that I'd do the work for them but I can't God NEEDS to see the individual do it for themselves.

The individual must have epiphany where they understand the reasoning for God's advice.

It comes to a person like realization of one of those pictures where they have 2 picture in 1?where you have to see it from a certain angle or perspective to see the picture within the picture, that "oh! I see it now!" Moment of clarity?

Yep each person must have that moment for themselves to truly appreciate God's advice.

That moment can't be bought or barter for but acquired by renewal of the intellect.

Sorry for get to deep on you all I have a fugue state some time but really I'm just a little dummy retard...ask around they'll tell you all about it.

There seems to be a lot of people who profess to be Christian...yet deny the power of God. These are your carnally minded folks. Edumacated people mostly, who take pride in their "intelligence" (very wrong thing to do!). So they'll write a 6 paragraph treatise on why a single verse doesn't mean what it says. It's interesting to note that, of all of Jesus's disciples, only one of them was educated...the one who betrayed Him.

You see, scripture tells us, spiritual things are spiritually discerned, and that the carnal mind is enmity with God, so we're advised to not lean upon our own logical understanding but be led by the Spirit. They caution against this also! Oh you can't do that because you'll accidentally call up evil spirits and prolly die...Lol! As if satan is more powerful than God, Lol! As if, no one can snatch them from my hand, is not true. Denying the very power of God.

So it is you fault brother! You're misusing scripture, you're wrong blah blah blah blah blah...(Lol but not really funny)
You sound like you have your carnal mind in check, good.

Welcome to the persecution club. I've been called all sorts of nasty mouth things from other Christians and even said to be of my father Satan. I just let it roll of my back as I know who I am in Christ and He in me and will always be about my Father in Heaven business as I continue to take the Gospel out to a world that needs to hear His good news.

How does the Holy Spirit give knowledge?
Seriously, you do not know!!!

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Is that the only way the Holy Spirit gives knowledge?

Yes, as the Holy Spirit can not speak anything other than what God gives to speak. Just as Jesus could only speak that of what God gave Him to speak. We can not speak any more than what God has already spoke through Christ who when He ascended up to heaven He also sent down the Holy Spirit to indwell all who by faith will believe in Christ, John 16:7-13.

So why do you think God gifted and appointed teachers if all we need is the Holy Spirit?

1Co 12:28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. (ESV)

Eph 4:11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, (ESV)

Thanks for that, I had no idea that judas was educated I guess that he outsmarted himself.

Because I want to be sure of what I am saying
I would not want to be a false witness
If I am sure The Spirit has urged me to speak, I do.

Who do you think taught the teachers? Do all teachers speak truth, no, this is why we study for ourselves by allowing the Holy Spirit teach us so that when we are being taught by the teachers we will know how to discern that of what we are hearing. We all have the same anointing through the Holy Spirit and man apart from the Holy Spirit can teach us nothing as they speak for themselves void of the Holy Spirit speaking through them.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

How does the Holy Spirit give knowledge?
By the Believer placing their Faith and maintaining it in Christ and the Cross, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit doesn't require much of us, but He does require one thing, and without reservation. Our Faith must be exclusively be in Christ and the Cross; understanding that this is God's Prescribed Order of Victory (Rom. 8:2).

The Holy Spirit works strictly within the parameters of the "Finished Work" i.e., "The Cross of Christ" i.e., "The Blood of Jesus;" which demands that our Faith be placed and maintained exclusively in the Cross of Christ. The reason is simple, that's were the price was paid, and the victory was forever won (Romans 6:1-14; 1 Cor. 2:2; Gal. 5; Gal. 6:14; Eph. 2:13-18; Col. 2:14-15).

Who do you think taught the teachers?
Are you saying the Holy Spirit taught the teachers? Is that taught in the Bible?

I think teachers taught teachers, all the way back to the Apostles and Jesus himself.

Heb 5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, (ESV)

And man, through the Holy Spirit, is who is to be our teacher.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
In context, we see that was spoken to the disciples alone for a specific reason. The result of this is the Scriptures, which are for us.

1Jn 2:20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
1Jn 2:21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
1Jn 2:22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
1Jn 2:24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
1Jn 2:25 And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.
1Jn 2:26 I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him. (ESV)

Firstly, we see that it isn't the Holy Spirit being spoken of, it's the anointing of the Holy One, that is Jesus. Secondly, the context of these verses is false teachers, antichrists. In context, verse 27 is saying that regarding salvation (the point under discussion), they have no need of anyone to teach them. In no way whatsoever can this verse be used to support the idea that Christians never need anyone to teach them of anything.

Additionally, verse 24 is speaking of them being taught--that which "you heard from the beginning". And it should be pointed out that if John was actually saying that they need no person to teach them, just the Holy Spirit, then John shouldn't have needed to write the letter in the first place. Indeed, the same could be said if the entirety of Scripture.

In sum, there is no support in the Bible for the idea that all we need to do is pray for guidance prior to reading the Bible, and then as we read, the Holy Spirit will give us the meaning of everything we read. That simply is an unbiblical position. Yes, there is a general sense in which the Holy Spirit will illuminate some things for us at various times, but the biblical way, the way God has ordained, is that we are to be taught through teachers. Why gift and ordain teachers if this was not the case? And how much more that is needed these days.

We study on our own but then take what we think we have learned and compare that with what the numerous scholars and theologians through the ages have to say on that verse or passage, and see how it lines up.

The main problem with believing as you do, or as it seems you do based on what you have said, is that every single person we have had on these forums who believes that all we need is to be taught by the Holy Spirit and not man (false dichotomy), disagrees with the others who believe the same. So clearly something is amiss with such a belief.

1 John 4:18-29
Those who have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit also have the anointing that gives us the right of understanding of all we need to know. Unlike those who teach heresies and have no truth found in them. We know we are not going to be deceived by the false teachers (antichrist) that have gone out into the word, but are none of Christ as they have no anointing of the Holy Spirit, 2 Timothy 3:1-7.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit would never replace the teachings of Christ, but as what we started in our learning from the teachers in our beginning we now know how to discern that of what is being taught to us as we study for our self to know for a surety through the Holy Spirit confirming and giving us understanding of that which is being taught us by others. The Holy Spirit will also bring those scriptures we leaned from back to our remembrance as we teach others, John 14:26.

In vs 26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. This is why it is said in vs. 27 let no man teach you which means do not allow those who are false teachers having not the anointing of the Holy Spirit teach you. We are to safeguard ourselves from false teachings. The Holy Spirit is all we need to correctly interpret that of what we are being taught, 2 Timothy 2:15, 16.
