Like it or not we all get angry sometimes. Even Jesus HI'm self got angry sometimes. That just proves that anger in itself isn't a sin, it's an emotion. It's the way that we handle ourselves that makes it a sin. So, what do you do when you get angry to calm yourself down? I find that doing Yoga relaxes me. :)

When I get angry which is not very seldom I yell at the top of my lungs and sometimes throw things I know will not break and say things I would not normally say and they are not nice things. Afterwards I have to find a quiet place and allow myself to calm down by repenting first and then talk with Jesus who always brings me back to where I need to be.

Aaaah, peoples after mine own heart....

i also believe anger is not a sin....what matters is how one expresses it. As stated already, Jesus Himself got angry. Now God had to sorta' "channel" mine hahaaaa.

He is a GOOD God. :)

You people make me feel so angry, you should realise how bad anger is and how much I have it under control.

I laugh, but more or less this follows a conversation I had with someone.
Anger is often the most commonly repressed emotion and seethes in peoples hearts, bursting out at inappropriate
times and places.

The problem I see is people recognising the difference between annoyance, irritation, anger and rage.
Lots of things will irritate and annoy us, which we can recognise and deal with.
Anger is a flight or fight response and normal is associated with a real threat.

I used to bottle up anger, and got afraid that it might burst out, at inappropriate times. I now express my feelings
and am very aware when I get angry and why. The biggest help for me dealing with triggers is prayer and praise,
dwelling in the Spirit etc. This changes things and the cross puts into perspective the privilege of love and acceptance
Christ has given me, and how I can help others.

Hi HR, I don't get angry, angry, like mad and sultry. I may get disappointed, or upset, but I mostly get grieved or saddened. The closer I walk with God and the more I fellowship with the Spirit, the less I worry about my self (1 Cor. 13:1-13). The only thing that brings me close to anger are those who teach false doctrines. I do get frustrated a lot with our legislators. But God's peace has a calming effect on the soul. I have to catch myself sometimes, but at least the Spirit is dominate over mine.

Dear HR, Any born again believer has already forgiven you before you asked, but what really gives the brethern joy is to see repentance and return to fellowship. Continue to grow in the Knowledge and Grace of the Lord....it is worth more then fine gold.
Love you in the Lord

I’m sure you haven’t hurt anyone and no forgiveness is required. It usually takes quite a lot to hurt most people on these forums, especially any who have been here for a long time.

I leave the premises because I am aware of my shortcomings, one time I was so angry and barely keeping it under control that I almost passed out I get dizzy and such.

But since God took my negativity away that never happens anymore.
