Chapter Twenty-Two; Winnie and Flower
Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize for the fact that it's taken me so long to write the next chapter, but I get rather busy in the summertime going out and enjoying the weather.
It's way too hot for that today though, so here is the next chapter and I really hope that you enjoy it! 
Even if it's a bit short. I'll be writing more as soon as I have a chance. 
Sophia flew further and further into the woods when all of a sudden she ran smack dab into the trunk of a whispering tree and fell down into the dirt. The next thing she knew was that she heard muffled unrecognizable whispers before she was knocked unconscious. Meanwhile Dan and Puff were waiting for her at the other side of the woods. "It sure is taking her an awful long time isn't it Puff?" Dan questioned his furry friend.
"Puff sure hopes that Princess Sophia is alright." he replied while growing a look of anxiety and concern on his face.
"Yes me too, I already lost Lilly and I really don't want to lose the girl of my dreams." Dan told him.
"Is Dan in love with Princess Sophia?" Puff inquired but Dan just simply rolled his eyes at him.
"Don't be ridiculous of course I'm not." he lied. "Besides, it would never work out between us anyway. She's a fairy and I'm a leprechaun. Not to mention the fact that she's also a princess which means that she has to marry a prince." he explained.
"Lilly is a human isn't she?" Puff questioned him.
"Yes. Of course. That's the whole entire reason that we're even here in the first place." he told him. "To save her." he added.
"Why?" Puff asked him.
"Because she's my friend and like a daughter to me and I love her." he told him.
"But Dan is just a leprechaun. How can he love a human?" Puff inquired.
"Because___" Dan began before he realized that the tiny red puffball was smirking slyly at him. "Because I said so that's why!" he exclaimed as Puff giggled. "You know, you're not as sweet and innocent as the royals like to think!" he snapped before he rolled his eyes again and groaned. "C'mon, let's just go find Sophia." he told him before he turned around and walked away while Puff hopped after him.

Sophia slowly began to sit up and placed a tiny hand to her forehead. "Sparkles!" she cried before she opened her eyes and groaned realizing that she had broken her wings which meant that she wouldn't be able to fly anymore until a medical fairy looked her over. "I sure hope that Dan and Puff can find me because I haven't even gotten the slightest clue where I am except for the fact that I'm pretty sure that I'm still in the Enchanted Forest." she said to herself when suddenly she heard a twig snap and gave out a rather loud gasp while she scooted backwards on her bottom through the dirt.
Afterwards she heard a rather soft and gentle tiny snort and that's when a tiny white unicorn with a slight bump on its forehead (instead of a horn) walked out of the shadows and stopped about ten feet in front of her and snorted again. Sophia widened her eyes and dropped her jaw at just exactly how close she was. The filly pawed the ground before she let out a whinny and walked closer to Sophia until she was close enough to touch.
Sophia quickly shut her eyes and turned her head away from her and then put her hand out in front of her face. The foal snorted one last time before she bumped the palm of her hand with her nose. Sophia opened her eyes and turned over to look at the baby horse once again and she was astonished just how close to her face she was. "Hullo there girl, my name's Sophia." she began. "What's your name?" she asked it before she realized just exactly how ridiculous she had sounded since she knew that the filly wouldn't be able to answer her.
"Never mind, I'm guessing that you don't have one. Well I guess that means that I should probably give you one. After all, I really need your help to find my friend Lilly. She was kidnapped by the evil enchantress and since both of my wings are broken, I need a ride now more than ever." she explained when suddenly she got an idea. "Hey, I know what I'll call you, Flower. Since a lily is a flower and I'm sure that my friend will be really excited when she finds out that I named you after her." she told her.
That's when all of a sudden she heard an angry snort and the filly's mother (a mare with a curly golden mane) started walking out of the woods. Sophia became frightened as the mare lowered her head, pointed her horn at her and pawed the ground while continuing to snort. "Wait a minute!" Sophia cried while she quickly leapt to her feet and placed her hands out in front of her face and shook them rapidly. "I'm not going to hurt your baby, she's my friend!" she exclaimed when suddenly the mare raised her head again and twitched her ears to and fro before Flower raced in front of her and stood in-between them and gave another loud whinny.
They exchanged some more whinnies before Flower's mother backed up and made one final snort and shook her head and then lowered it and allowed Sophia to gently stroke her nose. Sophia smiled as she suddenly realized that Flower had told her mother that she wasn't a threat and that's when suddenly she got another idea. "Winnie." she began. "I'll call you Winnie." she whispered softly.
