Perhaps this is a better way to phrase my question: Is our salvation of our free-will? Yes, God wants us to choose Him on our own. But the fact that God is all-knowing makes it so much more complicated. It is hard for me to elaborate on this thought - it is beyond me. I, however, choose to...
Bolts pretty much answered it, but here's some more information!
The ancient Jews would not pronounce the name Yahweh because it was too sacred. In exodus, when Moses asks God "who shall I say sent me?" God tells him, "I AM WHO I AM." Yahweh is the Hebrew word for I AM.
I believe in free-will, but I'll provide some food for thought.
Read Romans 9. It is very challenging. It says God will have mercy on whom He has mercy, and compassion on whom He will have compassion.
God is all knowing. He is beyond time. Even if we do have free-will, God knows us so well...
I love them. I was once a nonbeliever, and I am not one to condemn or judge, that is God's job. As a Christian it is my job to try to bring those who don't believe to Christ. We MUST love them. It's so simple to me - I don't know how to put it any other way. Christ teaches us to love all, even...

I attend Point Loma Nazarene University, and I am a liberal, non-denominational Christian from the Vineyard church. In my experience, professors do not impose their denominational beliefs on us. What we need to realize, and the Nazarene professors here teach this, is that we are all brothers and...
It is in your hardest times that God is closest to you. He presents challenges to deepen your faith. Fast for a couple days, and spend serious time in deep meditation and prayer, and in His Word. You might just find an answer. But God's Will is done on His time, not ours. Be patient, be...
