I agree.
At my mother's funeral I asked my minister to preach the Gospel so if anyone there wasn't saved, they would here about the path of Salvation. He did it with tact.
I believe that a funeral should be done the way the family asks and NO ONE should protest anything at a funeral.
I have a very large vegetable garden and many flowers. We live off our garden during the winter months. It is long hot work, but well worth it.
How can anyone doubt the power of God and raise a garden?
Being old fashioned and also an organist, I would have to choose the pipe organ.
Played softly (behind a prayer, etc.) it can soothe the soul. Played full, it can raise our souls up to heaven.
But, any instrument played well would come in second.
The state of Indiana got hit by this last winter storm. We got over 2' of snow over Christmas which has melted and now, north of I-70 freezing rain, Central Indiana got anywhere from 3" to 6" of rain and major flooding. I don't know what Southern Indiana got, but I know what they are going to...
I didn't know that 43 was older than dirt.
Our last drive-in in town just closed last year. It was owned by the original family until about 5 years ago then it sold and finally closed.
A Dutch Boy sandwich would sure be good about now.
I'm getting in late on this thread but I don't do Microwave Popcorn. It's too expensive. I raise my own popcorn. One package of seeds usually cost less that a dollar. Last year the one package produced 6 gallons of popcorn (uppopped).
I like to pop it in lard and then put real butter on it...
Straight ticket Republican for everything above the local level. Most of the time it is Republican on the local level as well, but once in a great while I will vote a Dem.
