Well, I am not popular in the place I am at the moment because it turned out people seem to envy me. The older I get, the less it starts to bother me. Of course, it hurts, but in the long run our main focus should be if the Lord is pleased with us or not rather than people.
Oh, that's tough. But at least you've got your parents, and God uses difficult circumstances to prune us and refine our faith, hold on and keep growing in the Lord.
SPP, seems you are guilt-ridden and in bondage.
Firstly, you should come down to your knees and ask the Lord to forgive your sins: walking away from Him, lust, etc. Name every sin and repent. It's good to ask the Holy Spirit to remind you the roots of each sin, so you could repent and say out...
I miss being 21, 22, 23, 24.... That was the time when I started to get rid of my inferiority complex and get smarter (in my opinion), but at the same time still young)
I mean yoghurts (but you should check the sugar content; Greek yoghurts should be ok). We have a variety of fermented dairy products (kefyr, ayran), and they are very good to take before going to bed.
I heard doctors say it's best to eat 5-6 times per day, but smaller amounts, rather than 2-3 times per day of bigger ones, and breakfast should be the most nutritious one. Also, fermented dairy food is good for digestion.
No, I didn't mean it as an insult. If you lose weight, that's great :) I wish that you achieved your goal. Also, English isn't my mother tongue, so I may not be always good at choosing the right words :)
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat...
You see, MarkT, I wrote this example not to show that I'm better, I am not, I am a mere human in the need of Saviour, but only to show that we should be vigilant on our walk with Christ as sin hurts, not only us, but people around us, both believers and unbelievers, and it may create a tangled...
OK, this is essential, yes, but where (Matt. 7:21-23) will fit in here? As it's quite easy to think "I'm saved" and then stray. It's human nature, we should be alert and vigilant.
OK, let me sum it up: backslidden Christian is in a very dangerous position and may lose his or her salvation. Moreover, we all should take our walk with Christ seriously, otherwise we may backslide; and we should be the example to non-Christians, otherwise they wouldn't want to know our Christ.
No, Obadiah, Christ's sacrifice covers every sin, and I am sure God has forgiven him, but has this guy really repented or was he just sorry that the girl got pregnant and everything came out? That's a question now. Why responsibility, sacrifice, and duty become outdated nowadays? This is not the...
Well, I am not sure about US Christians, but in my culture (and in this guy's culture), people get married (even unbelievers) if they expect a child together. He was a leader, and leaders should always set example, and leaders always have more responsibility before God.
I am not in the power to...
