Have you been to Burger King lately? Have you like me been eating there most of your life? I most certainly have since I was a kid now over 40. Have you noticed their burgers have gotten very small? .

Burger King used to among with Wendy’s and Carl’s Jr. always used to be bigger than McDonald’s standard hamburgers. Take a look at today’s Burger King and the burger might now even be smaller than McDonald’s. I ate a Jr. whopper in 4 bites. Can you believe that? I ordered the Big King. Those are not that big either. Take a look at these tiny burgers. They remind me of McDonalds Mcmuffins. If you had not made comparison maybe you did notice this change. But I am sure I am not imagining this.

What do you think of this? Do you agree? Is this also happening at other fast food or establishments that you notice you are getting less now then you used to? Does it feel you are trying to be on a forced diet? When you see a box at the store it has on its advertisement bigger or 25 percent more. However whenever they decrease in size of the burgers they never say it is less or 25 percent less in size or in quality. So things disappear with no one saying anything. . He Burger King, Wendy’s Carl’s Jr. and all these other places are you really better than McDonalds today and offers more food and better quality? If the trend of Burger King happens to all fast food chains we can call Burger King and such establishments a ‘It’s a small kingdom” we’re getting less for our money. .

What is your say on this?

I have man an effort to avoid those places. for what they charge I can go to a locally owned restaurant and get more for the buck.

I don't go to Burger King, although I don't hate the food there. But I'm wondering if this is a consequence of all the attention fast food is getting for enormous calorie counts. One easy way to lower the calorie count of a hamburger is to make it smaller.

Like I said before, we're all just getting fatter and also used to super-sizing everything. So it looks smaller. The whopper is still a large burger compared to 1950's style burgers and shakes (and I think a standard size large shake back then was something like 10-12 oz; now it's double at 22oz)

I don't think the smaller burgers have anything to do with the corporations wanting us to be healthier. It's all about charging more money for less product. Have you also noticed how all the ice cream containers (as just another example of many) in the markets that used to be a half gallon or a gallon are now about 25% less than they used to be (with no price reduction, of course). And to disguise this they started listing the amount in liters instead of gallons or quarts. I don't think it's just a problem with Burger King.

I haven't eaten at McDonalds for a long time since the last time I got one of their burgers it was so disappointing to see the beef patty was literally no thicker than the cardboard in a light weight cardboard box. They could have left it out altogether and I don't think I would have noticed if I didn't look at it. It was so little meat it made no difference in flavor than eating just a bunch of lettuce and sauces in a bun. And for that little burger, box of fries, and soda I paid more money than the cost of the all you can eat buffet down the road a few blocks that is loaded with lots of good quality healthy food. After having that epiphany that day, the only time I go to any of the fast food places anymore is if I'm in a hurry on the road and just need to grab something at a drive through and eat it while driving.

my wife had same thing happen to her. we go to mrs macs or any local restaurant and get better deals.not to mention its not even fast these days.

Yeah, when I'm in town there's an Old Country Buffet at the mall. Much better food and all you can eat for about the cost (lunch cost anyway, dinner is higher) of a typical burger, fries, and soda at Mc D's!
