Once you have a Mac you cant go back! since I have done this I have had the most carefree year of computer usage ever. No viruses no virus scanners to buy, no operating system updates at every boot up. It is so good. A friend bought a cheap one off ebay a few months ago and found the same. Anyone else use one?

Mac snob, fanboy etc etc, (person who just wants to turn the computer on and use it with no issues). Any others out there?

I've looked at Macs the last few times we were in the market for a laptop, but the prices always take me back to pc's. :bigfrown I've never heard someone say they didn't love their Mac, but if I can get more power for 1/2 the cost...

Never saw any great deals on eBay.

Someone did say it isn't easy to swap components or add memory. :chin

Darn you budget! Why won't you let me get a Mac?!! :lol

Yes, my Mac is the best $500 I have ever spent on a computer. No issues for the past couple of years. My PC (has been sitting collecting dust) was just a pain every time I turned it on. There were many repair sessions by my neighbor computer guru working on that machine, and it never got working any faster (it was kinda like the old days with dial-up). I got a G4 Mac laptop for $500, and never looked back. Every day I turn it on and it just plain works! Thank you Lord for Apple!

(Mike mutters something under his breath that he shouldn't be muttering.)

I used a Mac for a few years. It's definitely better than Windoze, but I did go back, because an upgrade was too expensive. Not back to Windoze, though. I haven't used anything from Micro$oft at home since last century. I now use a home-built PC running Ubuntu Linux.

I am going Mac as soon as I can I will still be using Windows 7 I have 2, but I will also be using Mac, I also in the past have thought about dual booting Mac & Windows. But now with the invention of Windows 7 it is even better to dual boot.

Yes, it is good. Both Mac and Linux have thier pros and cons and, to be completely hones, I'm not really sure which I like better. Both are way better than Windows, though.
