FreeGrace: I was going to stop because this is a simple truth that is ridiculous in having grown 50+ pages now.
However, I believe we're talking about seekers and souls here. And that's why the truth of God in Christ doth prevail.

Question: "Can a Christian 'give back' salvation?"

Answer:
The short answer to this question is, no, a true Christian cannot “give back” salvation. Oddly enough, some who agree that a Christian cannot “lose” his salvation still believe that salvation can be “given back” to God. Some who hold this viewpoint will take Romans 8:38-39 and say that while nothing outside of us can separate us from God, we ourselves can choose, in our free will, to separate ourselves from God. This is not only unbiblical; it defies all logic. More To Read

Dear seekers, if you scroll to the bottom of those "Got Questions" pages you'll see related topics to further your study. God be with you. https://gotquestions.org/give-back-salvation.html

28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. Romans 11:28-32

Those to who them the gifts and calling are irrevocable, are enemies of the Gospel.
This sentence doesn't make sense. Please re-phrase.

Do you believe the enemies of the Gospel have eternal life?
I really don't know why this question keeps getting asked, even though it's been asnwered every time. Stop it.

The gifts and calling of God is still available to those Jews who have rejected Christ, in which they were cut off.
All of God's gifts and calling are available to everyone, not just Jews. In fact, Paul made that very clear in Rom 9:25 and 10:12.
Rom 9:25
As he says in Hosea: "I will call them 'my people' who are not my people;
and I will call her 'my loved one' who is not my loved one," NIV
Rom 10:12
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him NIV

They can be grafted back in, if they don't continue in unbelief.

When do we know a person has "fully trusted Jesus Christ"?

Before or after they are tested?

I'll tell you the answer: It's after they have been tested, which is why the salvation of our soul is received at the end, after the testing is over, and we have been approved.
We all know it's against the rules of this forum to state an opinion without Scripture.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:6-9
JLB
Even those with basic English skills can easily see that there is nothing here about receiving salvation after testing, or at the end of one's life, or after they've been "approved".

If one receives salvation only after being approved, then your opinion is that one is saved by works, not grace.

If by grace, it is not by works. This is what the Bible says:
Rom 11:6
And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. NIV

That's how to support your claims; with verses that actually SAY what you claim.

If grace is a license for anything it's a license to escape sin and unbelief (Titus 2:11-12 NASB), not live in it comfortably regarding justification/salvation as hyper-grace OSAS teaches.
i can tell you from my point that it is NOT a license to escape sin and unbelief never has been nor ever will be . on my part eternal security is resting in the promises in the scripture. i become a police officer and fail to even attempt to abide by the same laws i took a oath to enforce then that does not make a me a policeman . to some degree it is same way with being a christian... to the point can we walk away from it? to be honest i will not say yes or no. but will say why would we . we do have a responsibility on our part to walk in the light and walk worthy . paul wrote about our walk in several books .

If our salvation was based upon your opinion, then that would be another matter, all together.

Please show the courtesy of using some scripture references that verifies your opinion that no one will be tested in their faith, which the scripture I posted is directly opposed to what you say.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9

Those of us who are born again, have the hope of salvation, which we will receive as the end result of our faith, which is why it's called the "hope of salvation", or in another place, the hope of the Gospel.

  • We who believe, are kept for that Day by the power of God, through faith "for salvation".
...who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

  • We have faith, "for salvation", which is ready to be revealed, "in the last time".
Hebrews says it this way...so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28

  • In this life we can indeed be expected to have our faith for salvation, tested by fire.

...though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
1 Peter 1:7

If we should depart from the faith, then we have departed from the very thing by which God's power "keeps us".

...who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 1 Timothy 4:1

Some who don't pass the test, but fall away in unbelief, during a time of persection, no longer believe.

13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Luke 8:13

Let's be counted among those who do not draw back to destruction, but continue to believe to the end, for the saving of our soul.

But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:39

Before or after they are tested.

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5

1 Peter 1
1 Peter 1King James Version (KJV)

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Romans 11:28-32

The context shows us the gifts and calling of verse 29, are still available to the enemies of the Gospel, stated in verse 28.

Do you believe the enemies of the Gospel have eternal life?

JLB

If our salvation was based upon your opinion, then that would be another matter, all together.
And it's not based on your opinion, either. Or mine. It's based only on what the Word of God says about it. And one thing it says very clearly is that the gifts of God are irrevocable, and that includes eternal life.

Please show the courtesy of using some scripture references that verifies your opinion that no one will be tested in their faith, which the scripture I posted is directly opposed to what you say.
The same holds true for your own opinions. You've made the claim that we are tested in our faith before receiving salvation, so prove it from Scripture.

Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9
Why do you always quote a verse or passage that does NOT support your opinions and claims?

Those of us who are born again, have the hope of salvation, which we will receive as the end result of our faith, which is why it's called the "hope of salvation", or in another place, the hope of the Gospel.
You've already been taught the 3 tenses of salvation: past, present, and future. The passage here speaks of future salvation, or our glorification, when we WILL BE saved from the presence of sin. Which is in eternity, not before.

13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Luke 8:13
When can we expect an explanation of this verse that proves that those who cease to believe cease to be saved, which is your opinion.

Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:6-9
Notice, Peter is saying that you receive the salvation of your souls "now" (in the present) even though we do not see him. Sure, our bodies die. And we get new bodies later. But the soul of someone who has Christ in them diying??? Pff, never. Those who are in Christ have eternal life.

When do we know a person has fully trusted Jesus Christ?

It's not our role to judge if another person has "fully trusted Jesus Christ" (or not). Neither does this verse instruct us to exaimne whether another person has Christ in them or not.

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5

Seven references to you/yourself in one verse and zero references to an examination of another person.

Do you know yourself? Yes
Do you know that Jesus Chirst is in you? Yes, if He is in you YOU know it.
Yes, if He is not in you, YOU know that to.
I know exactly what it meant to me to be without Christ, then with Him. But I do not know what it means to any other person.

Do you know whether Jesus Christ is in another person or not? No, not really. We have their words/testimony/deeds to help guide us. But words/deeds/looks can be deceiving to us humans. But not to God who knows the hearts of men.

Take Judas Iscariot for example:
John 6:64, 69-71 (LEB)
Jesus said:
But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.
Yet Peter said:
And we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

Jesus replied to them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is the devil?” Now he was speaking about Judas son of Simon Iscariot, because this one—one of the twelve—was going to betray him.

Jesus knew that Judas did not believe in Him being Christ (Messiah) from the beginning. Yet Peter thought Judas did believe. Looks can deceive people but not God!

If our salvation was based upon your opinion, then that would be another matter, all together.

I'll let Scripture answer your question.

1 Sam 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." NASU

Before or after they are tested.
Your question is invalid, since you've failed to establish your opinion that salvation is based on testing, which is just another form of salvation by works.

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 2 Corinthians 13:5 JLB
Why would anyone think this verse teaches what you opine?

To be "in the faith" means to be living the Christian life. Just look at the context around the verse.

EDITED

28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. Romans 11:28-32

In the verse before and the verse after, verse 29, Paul reveals that unbelieving Jews, described as "they" and "their" are "disobedient" "enemies" of the Gospel, in which he says the gifts and calling to them are still available [irrevocable; without regret].

Please explain how a "disobedient" "enemies" of the Gospel have eternal life?

That is the direct context of Romans 11:29.

We know that the "gift" [singular] of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, from Romans 6:23.

However the context of Romans 6:23, also states that the wages of sin is death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

The principle of Romans 6:23 and eternal life is "in Christ Jesus our Lord".

Those who are "in" Christ Jesus, then later "removed" from Christ Jesus, no longer have the eternal life they once had when they were in Christ Jesus, rather, these are thrown into the fire and burned.

2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit...
6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:2,6

How does one who is cast into the fire and burn, represent as having eternal life?

Are you having a problem with comprehension these days? The question, which is quite lacking in intelligence, has been answered multiple times.

Your going to have to do better than ignoring the question, and your ad hominem remarks.

You haven't answered the question, you have only denied the question as being valid, because you have no answer.

If our faith is tested, then we are not working to earn salvation, by proving whether we have faith that saves, or faith that can not save.

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2-3

“If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 13:1-3

More opinion with no scripture.

Me personally, I'm not worried at all about my salvation, for if I was, I wouldn't be discussing such scriptures, but like you, would be ignoring them, choosing to hide in the darkness of deception, rather than to come into the light and look at what the truth of the scriptures reveal about my condition, so as to repent and change by the power of the Holy Spirit, through my faith in Christ Jesus.

I see so many Christians who would rather argue and deny what the scriptures actually say, and cling to their sins and ignorance of the truth.

Like Adam, they are hiding in the shadows of their own self deception, thinking that this will save them on the day of Judgement.

Notice how surprised these servants of the Lord are on that Day:

‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’

41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Matthew 25:41-46
