Day whatever update.

Ok, so its Friday day 5.

I like food, but have always said I eat to live not live to eat. This diet tests that theory. I have remained in the guidelines, but only because I know when the end is. It would be dumb to try and do a diet like this for longer than two weeks, but I would also say it would be impossible. Eventually you would crack, you would eat something outside the guidelines just because you could. I'm not going to relapse into a lot of old habits after this simply because I still have a goal to reach, but you bet I am going to have me a dinner that has zero to do with eggs or anything on my menu right now.

I weighed myself on Wednesday, but I am going to wait till Sunday to do a 1 week weigh in. Energy levels vary, but I have been doing my workout in the mornings.

Temptations are extreme though. I made my boys dinner last night and cooked a pizza for one of them. I am a sucker for pizza, and it was crazy how good that smelled. Very interesting.

I think there could be a lot of life lessons learned from this experiment.

Monday of the second week.

I feel great! I really do. I have stuck with it for the entire week. At first I really noticed the lack of calories, but now its not bad. I am not sure if my body has switched over to using my "storage" for fuel, or if its a mind trick, but its working.

I am at 179 now. So that's a 6lb drop. Might not seem like a lot, but it is pretty significant really. Pants fit better at least. lol

I'm going to go the full two weeks just to see. I wonder if its a ramp up kind of weight loss, where each day the loss grows more than the day before. Most of the stuff you find online say 20lbs in two weeks, so I am curious.

I'm done. Finished. Never do it again. :)

I lost a total of 10lbs. Which, is not bad per say, but not worth it. It really is a fad diet. I noticed my body shutting down the second week and even to the point where I was not hungry some of the time. That's not right considering my intake was >1000 calories a day.

I think a week long diet of this nature would be fine, but 2 weeks is dumb and just not worth it.

At least I can say I did it. But tonight its chips and salsa and fajitas!

well i used your thread for a base. Eggs being the largest part of my intake.. What i had to cut out was either carbs, wheat or glutton .. I am doing better.,.,. Favorite meal Cheeseburger and fries ... that is out.. Thanks for the push

Eggs are good for you. And I think the nutrient to calorie ratio is a good base for a diet.

I ate pizza for the first time last night. It's amazing how food tastes after being on a tight diet.

I have faith in you Reba. :)
