Day 1:

O LORD my God, You are very great; . . .You who laid the
foundations of the earth. P S A L M 1 0 4 : 1 , 5

'Bless the Lord , O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty, He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever.' Psalms 104:1,5 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/PSA.104.1,5

Day 2

'"Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.' Isaiah 38:17 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/ISA.38.17

David prayed that God would "blot out" his sins. And He did. Jesus has taken our sins away - completely - at the Cross. Praise God for his love and forgiveness in Christ!

Day 4 (this is Feb 24) So this brings it up to date. I may change the title to reflect the countdown. ;)

'Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. ' John 14:6 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/JHN.14.6

Jesus IS the only way. Through Him and by Him we have the truth and eternal life. He is the way to the Father. No other claim can say that and be true. The world would like us to think otherwise. But it's God's plan of salvation that matters. And Jesus IS that plan. May you bathe in that truth and if you are not a believer, may you truly seek HIM today!

I'm sorry I can't get to the link.

Matthew 21:1-3 NKJV

1. Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
2. saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to me.
3. "And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord has need of them.' and immediately he will send them."

Day 5

'Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. '
1 Peter 4:8 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/1PE.4.8

“He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends” (Prov. 17:9, NIV).

“Love does not delight in evil . . . . It always protects” (1 Cor. 13:6-7, NIV).

Love is perhaps the biggest theme in the Holy Word of God. Love permeates all of Scriputre. For God so loved .....He sent his Son....who would die in our place in order to save us.

Love led Jesus to the Cross! Let us ponder that love for us as we approach Easter and that day when Jesus gave his life as a ransom for many.

God bless

33 days.
'"I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. Micah 5:2 NKJV

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The one to be Ruler of Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
From everlasting."

Day 8 32 days to Easter

'And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground. ' Luke 22:44 https://www.bible.com/bible/100/LUK.22.44

It was the corruption and wickedness of men that contrived and affected His death. It was by men’s wickedness that He was reproached, mocked, buffeted, and spit upon.
It was by men’s wickedness that Barabbas was preferred before Him.
It was men’s wickedness that laid the cross upon Him to bear, and that nailed Him to it, and put Him to so cruel and ignominious a death. This tended to give Christ an extraordinary sense of the greatness and hatefulness of the depravity of mankind. Because hereby in the time of his sufferings He had that depravity set before Him as it is, without disguise.
When it killed Christ, it appeared in its proper colors. Here Christ saw it in its true nature, which is the utmost hatred and contempt of God; in its ultimate tendency and desire, which is to kill God; and in its greatest aggravation and highest act, which is killing a person that was God.
But yet at the same time, so wonderful was the love of Christ to those who exhibited this hateful corruption, that he endured those very sufferings to deliver them from the punishment of that very corruption.
JONATHAN EDWARDS (1703-1758)
