I remember when we were told those were good for the environment.this is why I at times hesistate with environmental solutions. we have a dying lagoon here and they just now said we don't know why. they were blaming big sugar for it(which it is in part at fault) but they make it sound if it was only them.

i recycle all plastic that i can, if the plastic gets in the ocean or soil it breaks down and realeases toxins that are deadly to fish, the smaller the water body the more damaging it is to the fish in it.

Us too. We also have a pellet stove. The pellets come in very heavy gauge plastic, 40 lb. sacks. We use and save them all winter and usually make it through the summer using them for kitchen trash sacks, they fit perfectly in a tall kitchen trash bin. Save money and do double duty on the sack.
The Walmart and grocery small size work well for smaller trash can liners, too.

I re-use them as well. If they happen to accumulate to a larger number than I can realistically use, I recycle them.
