John 8:1-11New King James Version (NKJV)

8 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 Now early[a] in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught[b] in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded[c] us that such should be stoned.[d] But what do You say?”[e] 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.[f]
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up[g] and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience,[h] went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,[i] “Woman, where are those accusers of yours?[j] Has no one condemned you?”

11 She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and[k] sin no more.”

What do you think Jesus wrote on the ground?

I really don't remember for sure but I think that God wrote the 10 commandments on stone tablets with His finger.
But I don't know what Jesus wrote.

What do you think Jesus wrote on the ground?
Had the Holy Spirit desired that we know, He would have told us. The scripture says Jesus only said and did what His Father did.

But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

I think the context here is clear as to what Jesus wrote.

Had a Sunday School teacher once say he liked to imagine Jesus writing the names of the people accusing her and listing a few of their own sins. Of course he made it clear that this was just what he liked to imagine happening, because we aren't told what he wrote and we don't know. After hearing that as a kid, I've always liked to imagine it the same way too. But like the teacher said, we just aren't told, so our imagination is all we have.

Maybe, it was love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Who would want to be stoned for their sin.
I think that would work today in New Testament times, but this incident happened before Christ's death and before there was enough widespread acceptance of Jesus' admonishment to love your neighbor as yourself. Many of the people of the time and place this was happening didn't accept that Jesus was God's son (no one had witnessed the resurrection, coming of the Holy Spirit, etc yet.) and they were actually out to catch Him violating Hebrew law so they could accuse him.

Maybe, it was love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Who would want to be stoned for their sin.

The context is clear, there is really only one thing that Jesus could have possibly been writing as though He did not hear...

So if the Bible does say what He wrote what do you think He wrote?

Large, thick crust, pepperoni, Italian sausage, anchovies (on the side--that 'do unto others' thing), and, of course, extra cheese--delivery.

Then they all left to fill his order.
Nah,leave off the anchovies please.I am a pizza snob.I like the quality pizza. No Pizza Hut or Dominoes for me thankyouverymuch.
