Right now there seems to be several little computers like this coming out, which are really little tablet/smart phone computers without the input/output hardware. It's just the processor, memory and guts to connect to the rest of one's peripherals such as a keyboard, monitor, etc. Cubox is another. It is also called a mini desktop. Whether these will catch on or not is to be seen, but the evolution of computers to this specific branch was logical.

I'm debating myself if I want such a little computer, or whether I should get a tablet that docks to a blue tooth keyboard and mouse. Six of one half dozen the other because they are technically very much the same.

There's something relaxing about a desktop computer with a little lamp and a cup of tea comfortably sitting there in the evenings doing some personal things like spread sheets, researching on the Internet, playing a game of chess, or communicating on forums and emails. But I like the laptop here at my sofa as well. Right now my desktop is clunky and jittery, but still capable, and this Dell Inspiron laptop (from 2006) is still kicking strong yet, so I have some time to decide. But one day they will break down altogether as they are both very old already.
