even now they do not believe or accept and again ask instead "What must I DO to be saved" - fear not little flock it is your Father's good fortune to give you the kingdom for you were truly born again as little Christian children you have simply simply believed [Jn.20:31] - so do you simply simply believe this and have life in His name - twinc

btw this is the real good news that even Bishop John only heard and realised for the first time after he died and indeed he was glad and rejoiced in God his saviour - be glad now and rejoice and give thanks and praise now before death - twinc

What denomination do you belong to?

Who's Bishop John, and how did you communicate to you what he realized after his death?

typical it seems - more interested in Bishop John than the 'real good news' - no wonder he had not heard it until his death - maybe no one here wants to know either - it has already been revealed for those with eyes to see and read and for those with ears to hear - btw least any be easily upset or take umbrage typical = normal and it is the bible that says it is written for those with eyes to see and ears to hear whoever or wherever they may be - twinc

What do you expect? You post something about a message that someone heard after he died. That sounds very cult-like and I think we deserve to know where your doctrines are coming from. Your unwillingness to tell us, not only in this thread but also many others where you have made cryptic posts that are very difficult to understand, makes it look like you have something to hide. Do you? Is there something you don't want to tell us, either about your doctrines or your denomination?

so lets see - a man went down to Jericho and fell among thieves - did anyone really want to know exactly who the man was or the thieves or the priest etc - no just the good Samaritan who saved him - anyway while we are at it guess who the man is who has been robbed and beaten up and in the gutter - twinc

No. It is this: John 6:29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

Matthew 16:16-17 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.

Believe that Jesus is the literal Son of God. That is not easy to do if it has not been given to you as revelation from God.

Nobody claimed that the man that fell among thieves got a message after he died. What are you hiding from us?

Christians must take care and understand that everything that is written is written[this includes Jn.6:29 and Matt.16] so that we may still simply simply believe which Jjesus said is simply simply impossible for adults but not for little children who simply simply believe - come home now - twinc

You, Twinc, are the one who brought it up and seem to be claiming you have some special message from the grave of some dead bishop. You were asked a valid question out of a valid concern that you should answer if you don't want the rest of us to discredit you.

That was my point. Little children can believe in a literal Son of God walking the earth............Adults have a harder time with a miracle such as that!!!!!

since it seems I am not going to be allowed to do it my way - there is no other way - I am not here to be bullied and dictated to but be it known I tried - twinc

Nobody is bullying you. We are asking legitimate questions. Do you really expect to come here and claim to have a message from some dead bishop and not be asked for more information about it, like who he was or how he made his experiences after death known? Also, did you realize that contacting the spirits of the dead is forbidden in the Bible?

You don't seem to have stated anything in this particular instance that most here would disagree with. Child-like faith is something commonly taught in Christianity--you can have all the fine theories and apologetics in the world, but in the end believing in Jesus comes down to simple trust, the kind a child has for his parents.

If it's the topic of salvation doctrine you're referring to, OSAS vs the possibility of losing your salvation...you seem to be in support of OSAS from what you're saying, and I can agree with you on that point. However, people can give very good reasons to disagree, backed up by scripture. Even if I believe scripture supports OSAS, this topic and it's view in scripture is certainly debatable. I will not fault others for disagreeing. Disagreement is not bullying. Asking questions is not bullying. Asking you to clarify your stance so that we actually know what you're saying is not bullying.
