I see there is already a thread about Ham, so let's talk about Shem.

""Blessed be the LORD, The God of Shem..." (Genesis 9:26 NASB)

1. What was so special about Shem?

2. If Shem were a holiday dish, which one would he be?

:lol Jethro you crack me up...

Poor Japheth, I bet he was the middle child.

Shem might be the fruit cake, not sure.

The sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japeth might characterize the lives of the righteous and the world. Shem, a forefather of Abraham had his heritage extended much like the new birth, whereas Ham’s son Canaan was cursed as with the world.

The book of Romans 1,2,3 shows differences of the world between the immoral, the moral, and the religious, but all fall short of the glory of God and are judged. There are also separated walks of different Christians, and the rewards given according to their submission such as little noted of Japeth. My thought is that the types shown in Noah’s sons are written in light of 1 Cor 10:11, Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

The Messiah came through Shem.
Whatever he would be, I bet it would be the cream of the crop.
