florida is having a problem with its prisons , but that is another topic. scott, in short, is short cutting the funding he needs for prisons, and also isn't addressing the corruption and deaths of the inmates.

A tiny ray of sunshine.

Here's what's happening in my neighborhood.

I like that sign.

There is a website that has a google like map with pin markers for the locations of where sex offenders live. It also has their pictures, age, etc.

Yosef have you ever personally had to deal a sexual predator ?
Signage is a form of protection for the innocent

Now where's all the signs that say "murderers live here" when they get out of prison?

If they had those signs perhaps these people would still be alive.

A SHORT LIST OF MURDERERS RELEASED TO MURDER AGAIN

Arthur J. Bomar, Jr. -- released from prison in Nevada on parole in 1990. Bomar had served 11 years of a murder sentence for killing a man over an argument about a parking space. Six years later in Pennsylvania, Bomar brutally kidnapped, raped and murdered George Mason University star athlete Aimee Willard.

Scott Lehr -- Convicted of capital murder. Sentenced to other than death. Later released. After release, between Feb 91 and Feb 92 lured 10 different female victims, between the ages of 10 and 48-years-old, into his car. Raping and beating them unconscious, stripped and adandoned them in the desert. Three of his victims died in those acts.

Kenneth McDuff - Sentenced to the DP, but overturned by Furman. Subsequently released, and murdered as many as 19 young women after his release. Finally executed in 1998 for the murder of Melissa Ann Northrup.

I was working at the Media PA, courthouse when he was being tried, talk about swarming press and no place to park. I worked in the basement records room, and they had to bring him past my door to get upstairs to the court room. I also saw his sister out on the courthouse lawn talking about how innocent he was.

Do you think Paul should have been put on jail and not let out?

When Paul was jailed he was let out by God....not the local courts

The Supreme Court! Indeed. :)

Like Reba said, it's a form of protection for the neighborhood kids. Nothing wrong with that. If that seems harsh or unfair, then perhaps the person in question should have thought about that beforehand. When someone victimizes other people, yeah, there tends to be some negative reaction and labeling in response to it. He gave up the right to privacy when he attacked his victim.

I have a "friend" whom asked to borrow 100 dollars. I can't, this is my bill money and it's been promised to so and so by this friday...Oh, I give you my word, I'll get it back to you friday morning so you can make your payment. I promise, I'll come through...well he didn't come through and I got late fees for it, I also tarnished my reputation by not keeping my word to them...So I got mad at him about it, not violent, just mad. I gave him a little crap about it because he made me look bad and cost me money, and I was trying to help...

You know what he did? He got mad at ME for being mad at him for not keeping his word. Said that I have no right to be mad at him, it wasn't his fault...he doesn't seem to understand that when you wrong someone, sometimes people have reactions to it. That's life. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

If I don't want to be labeled a sex offender, then maybe I shouldn't sexually offend? Maybe the guy that's mad about that sign will go ahead and sue someone for demeaning them? I have a right to keep my skeletons in the closet and not have them announced to the world...(Ha!). His victim had a right too once upon a time.
