$600,000 stolen from Joel Osteen

Ouch...
This is what that story reminds me of:
Matthew 6:19-21 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

He won't lose it, it's covered by insurance.
When someone steals insurance pays, rates go up.

I bet he could leave the church scene right now and never have to work a day in his life.
That is for sure.And it goes on and on...
I don't agree with Joel and His doctrines. I do not KNOW if he is crooked or intentionally misleading people. I have my gut feeling though.
Reading the reactions posted so far is a bit sad to me.
He had 600,000 dollars stolen from his church. I would Guess that at least some of that would have went for a good cause.
What if it was 2000 dollars stolen from one of us and the reaction was,"Oh, they can afford it."
Even if His insurance covers theft and he gets it back. Odds are he will pay that back in double or triple through raised rates, caused from someone other than himself.
Joel has a church and he preaches and people give him money. The same as most other churches. He just happens to get a lot of money from suckers, I mean parishioners.

he doesn't teach that jesus is needed for salvation per se. I will read up on his doctrine and post what I find. im tired and I have good. memory but with me my pneumonic device is weird at times.
