Long suffering and perseverance was thrown out the window when my flesh/pride felt threatened.

There is a continuous battle
That goes on in my life
My flesh and my spirit
Continue to fight
The victory is His but
My flesh cannot see
It is about Him
It is not about me
The battle goes on
It is the never
Ending story
The stake is the answer
To God be the glory

Peter, I love the fact that your thoughts are centered on God.
You know a secret, I can tell.
The victory is His but
My flesh cannot see
It is about Him
It is not about me

Keeping our eyes centered on Him is part of what we know to do but there's another, quite sacred part to it too. When we rightly turn our eyes on Jesus and continue to adore Him -- His heart flutters. We've read about how He is like a gazelle, leaping and bounding over the mountain tops. I see him in total joy, coming for His Beloved. And I see those who stay their eye on Him as the target of his bounding journey. We are told that we can "hasten the coming of the Lord".

Consider now, if you will -- and let your heart soar as you do, what that means exactly. Imagine a love story between father and son. We can hasten the Day of the Lord. Imagine a father who wanted to give the very best possible reward to his son and who wanted to do it perfectly right on his wedding day. Then look around and catch a glimpse of the fact that you are the gift that is being given to the bridegroom. Yeah. Little you. A present from God to Jesus. Now understand what happens when you, in faith, turn your eyes to Him. Read more about it in the Song of Solomon but what I mean specifically is where He slips His hand and oils the lock. He's helping you to free yourself so you can find him. You are lovers conspiring in perfect holiness, if I dare say. We are. Every part of his body is.

Our job then is to overcome evil and to join together, trusting Him in all things.

Did I tell you, Peter, that I love the fact that your thoughts are centered on God? It's true. Thank you for sharing and know that your Redeemer is strong! He sees hearts.

(PS -- Hi, Brother Mike . I do so love you even though I have not said it directly in too many months. Jesus does too, and this you already know. Remind me sometime to tell you about my "What does a spleen do?" mini-revelation, but not here).

Thank you .......... I too love the Song of Solomon...........You and I have a bit more in common than you know. Not just being brothers from a different mother.
Dear Lord we are Your church
The bride prepared for You
Nothings borrowed
Nothings blue
Nothings old
all is new
Clothed in linen
Pure and white
Pleasing fragrance
Beautiful sight
The bride prepared
For the Lord’s delight
She longs to be taken home

How beautiful is the
Lord of Host
Whose blessings
fall like rain
To comfort all
His children
And take away
their pain

Some one told me when I showed it to them they liked it but....................The scary dreaded but of criticism ..,why does it end up with pain.
To be prideful and feel injured is not Christ like and I thank God that before I reacted the Lord show and convicted me of the feelings that where going through me at that time. So I made changes and added to .......... not to please this person but as an attempt to please God by stifling my prideful heart. I tell myself and would like to believe I submitted but I know better. You saw which one I posted first.

How beautiful
is the
Lord of Host
Whose blessings
fall like
rain
To comfort
all
His children
And take
away
their pain
and
fill their
hearts
with
love and joy
so they
may
live again
