I was going to say: "Why, yourself of course, that's the only thing on His wish list. Gift wrapping and a red ribbon around your neck are optional."
TOG was faster though.

Let me add, you shouldn't give Him that gift on christmas only. Jesus never asked us to celebrate His birthday. And He probably wasn't even born in december. Of course it's good to have a day of warm remembrance and getting together, lighting candles, eating a lot, and extending love to another in the darkest days of winter. But He wants you to give Him that gift - yourself - every day of the year. Pretty certain Jesus doesn't care much for his alleged "birthday".

How about the Magi gifts, gold, frankincense, and murrh.

Do these gifts represent anything in any way what we should be giving to Jesus?

Gold was considered a present fit for a king. Frankincense was something the priests used. Myrrh was used to anoint the dead. We should give Christ our loyalty, our worship and our lives.

What should I give Jesus on his birthday?
Jesus is no different than most grown-ups who have been around long enough to have owned everything twice. He gets a lot of satisfaction out of seeing other people get cool presents.

That being true, I want...

...a car newer than 1990...

...a 5/16 nut driver...

...the complete 'Burn Notice' DVD set...

...one of them big muffler tailpipe thingys for my '88 Honda Wagovan...

How about if we write a new song praising Jesus for Christmas.
We can all write one line and everyone follows.
Who wants to start?

Then someone can put music to it, play it online to us, and we will all have a gift for Jesus.
