Day 66
YLT
Isa 60:21 And thy people are all of them righteous, To the age they possess the earth, A branch of My planting, A work of My hands, to be beautified.
Isa 60:22 The little one doth become a chief, And the small one a mighty nation, I, Jehovah, in its own time do hasten it!

Mat 13:31 Another simile he set before them, saying: `The reign of the heavens is like to a grain of mustard, which a man having taken, did sow in his field,
Mat 13:32 which less, indeed, is than all the seeds, but when it may be grown, is greatest of the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven do come and rest in its branches.'

Act 2:41 then those, indeed, who did gladly receive his word were baptized, and there were added on that day, as it were, three thousand souls,
Act 5:14 (and the more were believers added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women,)
Rev 7:9 After these things I saw, and lo, a great multitude, which to number no one was able, out of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands,
Rev 7:10 and crying with a great voice, saying, `The salvation is to Him who is sitting upon the throne--to our God, and to the Lamb!'

holy? sheeesh not me...

Hey! I'll be there when Jesus calls out your name, says "welcome Reba, my good and faithful servant", Great is your reward"! I'll be there with your Dad, he and I will compete to see who applauds the loudest! :clap:clap:clap:clapyour Dad, :clap:clap:clapme. Your Dad will win!!

Day 67 This section depicts God's people coming out of Babylon, from captivity, back to Zion, Jerusalem, the City of God.

The people of God are now a glorious people, highly favored by the Nations who before looked with disgust at the captured people.

Note: I am confused as to when the wonderful blessings of God to His people will come to them. Certainly as they rebuilt Jerusalem, they enjoyed some of these favors of God, but history proves it didn't last forever. So, is this prophesy split? Some at Jerusalem, and the rest in the New Jerusalem?

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Scripture according to me :eek

The Church is spending its time and energies looking for the a King in the same fashion the Jewish folks did 2000 years ago.... He came to them and they missed Him... the were looking at Him and not seeing. The wanted to be freed from oppression in a 'human' way... Like William from Braveheart. Instead of a flashy handsome hero they got this plain meek ( appearing) home town guy...

Where is His kingdom?
Luk_17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
What is His Kingdom?
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
How do we know, it is a gift given from Him
Luk_12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Dad and Peter are fishing and swapping stories....

Isa 61-62

a picture of what the church could/should look like

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Day 67 61:1-62:12

YLT
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on me, Because Jehovah did anoint me To proclaim tidings to the humble, He sent me to bind the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives liberty, And to bound ones an opening of bands.
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the year of the good pleasure of Jehovah, And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all mourners.
Luk 4:18 `The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because He did anoint me; To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send away the bruised with deliverance,
Luk 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.'

Day 68 It appears to me that Messiah comes to trample the enemies of God's people.

Isaiah causes the people to remember God's faithfulness to Israel in "days of Old".

The purpose behind Messiah's vengeance upon Israels enemies and revival of the City of God is to advance His glorious NAME!

Isa_63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

Rev_14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Isa_63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Luk 21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
Luk 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Vengeance for what?

Day 68 63:1-14

Young's Literal Translation
Isa 63:10 And they have rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit, And He turneth to them for an enemy, He Himself hath fought against them.
Mat 22:4 `Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Lo, my dinner I prepared, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things are ready, come ye to the marriage-feasts;
Mat 22:5 and they, having disregarded it , went away, the one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;
Mat 22:6 and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, did insult and slay them .
Mat 22:7 `And the king having heard, was wroth, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;
Mat 22:8 then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,
Mat 22:9 be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as ye may find, call ye to the marriage-feasts.

Isa 63:17 Why causest Thou us to wander, O Jehovah, from Thy ways? Thou hardenest our heart from Thy fear, Turn back for Thy servants' sake, The tribes of Thine inheritance.
Joh 12:38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said, `Lord, who gave credence to our report? and the arm of the Lord--to whom was it revealed?'
Joh 12:39 Because of this they were not able to believe, that again Isaiah said,
Joh 12:40 `He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with the eyes, and understand with the heart, and turn back, and I might heal them;'

Isa 63:18 For a little while did Thy holy people possess, Our adversaries have trodden down Thy sanctuary.
Mat 24:2 and Jesus said to them, `Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'

Isa 63:19 We have been from of old, Thou hast not ruled over them, Not called is Thy name upon them!
Eph 2:11 Wherefore, remember, that ye were once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands,

Sorry about using Young's but for some reason I seem to understand it better part of the time.
If I wasn't so lazy, I would have copied it here with the KJV.

Day 69 Wow, only two more days of Isaiah. It has gone fast, and I have looked into the heart of a Prophet who loved his Lord and His people, like they were his own.

Isaiah pleads with Yahweh to return His favor to His servants, like of old. Oh, if only the children of God would reflect on how much God blessed His people when they entered the Promised Land, they would not be so stiff-necked a people as they were.

God's people only enjoyed the Promised Land for a short time before the false god's of the remaining nations found their way into their hearts.

Isaiah admits to the failure of the people, and pleads, "Be not terrible angry, O Lord, and remember not iniquity forever".

Isaiah pleads with Yahweh to return His favor to His servants, like of old. Oh, if only the children of God would reflect on how much God blessed His people when they entered the Promised Land, they would not be so stiff-necked a people as they were.

Rev 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
Rev 2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Isa 63:15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?
Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
Isa 63:17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
Isa 63:18 The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
Isa 63:19 We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Isa 64:12 Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Day 69 Isaiah pleads with Yahweh to return His favor to His servants like of old.

God's people enjoyed the promise Land for such a short time because of their national sins.

Isaiah admits to the failure of the people and pleads, "Be not so terrible angry, O Lord , and remember not iniquity forever".

How we we see the differences in Isaiah makes me smile... :yes

I am so glad He did not just give us a strict list. His Word is so alive... :woot2

Day 69 63:15-64:12

Yike, I just realized I went past where I should have yesterday, sorry! I got way too excited...

Isa 64:4 Even from antiquity men have not heard, They have not given ear, Eye hath not seen a God save Thee, He doth work for those waiting for Him.
Luk 2:25 And lo, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name is Simeon, and this man is righteous and devout, looking for the comforting of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him,
Luk 2:26 and it hath been divinely told him by the Holy Spirit--not to see death before he may see the Christ of the Lord.
Luk 2:27 And he came in the Spirit to the temple, and in the parents bringing in the child Jesus, for their doing according to the custom of the law regarding him,
Luk 2:28 then he took him in his arms, and blessed God, and he said,
Luk 2:29 `Now Thou dost send away Thy servant, Lord, according to Thy word, in peace,
Luk 2:30 because mine eyes did see Thy salvation,
Luk 2:31 which Thou didst prepare before the face of all the peoples,
Luk 2:32 a light to the uncovering of nations, and the glory of Thy people Israel.'
Isa 64:5 Thou hast met with the rejoicer And the doer of righteousness, In Thy ways they remember Thee, Lo, Thou hast been wroth when we sin, By them is continuance, and we are saved.

Isa 64:11 Our holy and our beautiful house, Where praise Thee did our fathers, Hath become burnt with fire, And all our desirable things have become a waste.
Isa 64:12 For these dost Thou refrain Thyself, Jehovah? Thou art silent, and dost afflict us very sore!'

They want to know why God is not taking revenge for the destroying of the temple and why He is silent towards them and afflicts them.
