In these threads I very often happen upon expressions of other members who, by the manner in which they manifest themselves to other members, appear to have completely forgotten the two laws which supersede ("there is no greater commandment than these" ...) all laws (Mark 12:30-31)

When stating in one post in another thread that we were all created perfect, a member even replied to me:

And I don't think that we are created perfect, that is not in Scripture.
To which I replied:

You say this because the ego and the world have deceived you into believing that your skin is the boundary of your being and that the image you see in your mirror is your true identity. It is not. What you see and what those see who are "in ego" is your false identity. Your true identity is the perfect Light within.

You, like all of us, were created in His image! You are the child of a perfect Father, Who creates perfectly, Who Knows you to be perfect and Who is well pleased with you ...

... what appears to contradict this is part of the often powerful deceptions of the ego and of this world. It is up to you to free yourself from all of that to be truly free.

... not in scripture???
I urge each of you to try and understand that the encounter with a brother does, in fact, constitute a holy encounter and ... to treat it as such.

I agree pretty much to what you are trying to convey, but you contradict yourself at one point.

You mentioned ego, but then go on to say this...

It is up to you to free yourself from all of that to be truly free.

Not ego? :-?

Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

:)

... I am well aware of it, Vic, that in some of what I say I now and then seem to be contradicting myself. Bear with me and I will show you that this is not the case.

Incidentally ... great question!

... because it contains many levels ... and could be replied to in many ways. I may mention other ways somewhat later, but, for now, let me mention just one of them:

One might say, Vic, that it is ego itself which eventually grasps that it has no real questions and no real answers, and that ... having finally understood where real Truth resides ... it is ego itself which makes the first hesitant steps which lead to what eventually culminates in its own dissolution or, if you like, in its own re-integration (into what then will no longer be a split and thus confused mind, but a mind that is whole). I should, perhaps, add that I personally prefer the word "re-integration" because it is the opposite of "separation." Ergo, we see the gradual transformation of willfullness into willingness and of will gradually becoming re-integrated in Will.
... Perhaps I should add that we can not achieve this re-integration all by ourselves and that the extent to which we make progress on this path will equal the extent to which we will be open to guidance from the Holy Spirit. And let me also add that it is not we ourselves who take the last steps in this process. The pen-ultimate step is taken by Holy Spirit and the last step is taken by God Himself. :)
