[ Testimony ] A little story about the Bible going all LIVING WORD on me

I was laying in bed, about to try to get to sleep, when it hit me that I should read my Bible. I grumpily got up and thought about Jesus talking to the desciples during His final hours before crucifixion, when he asked them why they were sleeping at this time. I thought it'd be pretty crazy to open the Bible to that exact part. I'm not sure how many times it is in the Bible, as I'm no Bible scholar(sadly). I opened to that exact thing.. first attempt. Never had I thought of trying anything like that before, or since. It was crazy. Why was I sleeping? Jesus is worth getting a little tired over. :) It was pretty shattering at the time. I have many other miracle stories.. thought i'd share this one.

Another time I got up all grumpy in the morning, thought something along the lines of, "Should I read the Bible?", and right when I did it felt like the Heavens opened up with happiness. It's hard to explain.. those are my main Bible stories, besides when it always talks to your problems.
 
A simple word of warning....yes, sometimes I believe you can open the bible to the exact place God wants you to open it to
....BUT, don't try to make it work. The bible isn't an 8 ball.
 
A WONDERFUL TESTIMONY!!!

I'd just like to point out that it isn't the Bible that gives us the idea to open the Bible, but God does that. And that is probably wasn't the Bible that opened itself up to a certain spot, but wasn't that also God?

Now it is not surprising that someone warned about making the Bible and 8 ball, like a crystal ball. Satan quoted Scriptures also, but the testimony clearly expressed a heavenly feeling of happiness. That doesn't sound like Satan at all. Discernment is wise, but are we scarred of Satan or God? If God then seek God and open up your Bible like God says.

I can begin to mention the number of times I have seen the Lord open up my bible. I have often wanted to find a verse I was looking for and just asked Him to take me to it, and He did. Sometimes He didn't and took me to another verse though, because He had a reason for it. And many mornings while talking to Him and listening for His voice He tells me to go to this verse or that.

The point is that God is really there to help us!!!! He can get you up and open up your Bible. That is what the testimony is about!! I loved it!! And I would suggest that we fear God!! And the first words I ever heard from Him were "READ YOUR BIBLE". And when I did I saw that they (those that know Him) would all be taught by Him. And that is what I saw in the testimony! I loved it! :thumbsup

A man flipped to a random page in the Bible and read the following " And Judas went and hung himself". So he deceides to read from somewhere else, he goes to another page and reads, "Go and do likewise". So he goes to another page and reads,"Go and do quickly".

There is a difference between fearing God and fearing Satan! The clever little saying is interesting, but what does it show?

Putting out trust in God doesn't mean we shouldn't test the spirits, but if the spirit doesn't lead you to put trust in God what spirit is it?
