I'm at the beach with my parents. By God's grace, we've reconciled...--big time--. "It is no longer I who lives, it is Christ who lives in me." I'm not 110% on dying to self, etc., but...The Lord has brought me a long, long way, and I'm thankful.
OK. On the surface, nothing too, too crazy or intense. Did some bird watching with my dad, then dinner, then some pleasant convo, then we were off to our respective hotel rooms.
I'm writing this, Praising God (!!!), kind of basking in the afterglow of a good night with my (loving, long suffering, kind) parents. Dinner was good, but that wasn't really the point, of course. The point is...I'm now a member of the family, because The Lord has forgiven me and seen fit to remake me, into someone my parents -can- forgive, -can- love, -can- take on trips now and then, etc.
"Washed and made clean." Thankfully, The Lord has even made that happen physically in my life...and I needed it, I really did. Now? Now, my parents and I are close, they're doing well, and Christmas...may not actually be Jesus' actual b-day, but its still a big deal for me, nonetheless, especially -this- particular Christmas.
I Praise God for His love, mercy, compassion, and kindness.
