A mother visits her son for dinner... who just happens to live with a girl roommate.
During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty his roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two of them, and this encounter had only made her more curious.
Over the course of the evening.... while watching the two interact,
she started to wonder if there was a bit more between he and his roommate than met the eye. Reading his mother's thoughts, her son quickly volunteered a disclaimer,
“I know what you must be thinking Mom, but I assure you, we are really just roommates."

About a week later, his roommate came to him saying, “Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose she took it, do you?"

He said, "Well, I doubt it.... but I'll email her anyway, just to be sure."

He sat down and wrote:
"Dear Mom,
I'm not saying that you "did" take the silver plate from my house, but I'm not saying that you "did not" take the silver plate... the fact remains that it has been missing...
ever since you were here for dinner.
Love,
Your Son."

Several days later, he received an email from his mother which read:
"Dear Son,
I'm not saying that you "do" sleep with your gorgeous roommate, and I'm not saying that you "do not" sleep with her. But the fact remains that if she were sleeping in her OWN BED, she would have found the silver plate by now, under her pillow…
Love,
Your Mom."

i will be using this sunday morning for part of mothers day message

ROTFL!!! You'll have the whole church rolling I can pretty much guarantee that! It's one of the best jokes I've seen on here in a rather long time! LOL!!

it will b a joke but it will also have some serious points in honoring mothers

Well that's good considering scripture (the Ten Commandments to be more precise) tells us to honor thy mother and thy father. There's going to be a new thread on here on Sunday honoring mothers too, but again, great joke LOL! :thumbsup

honor thy mother and thy father
and the message will end focused on the family attending church together raising our children in the way they should go.. so when they get older they will know where to go back to if they get off the path of life . there will always be that landmark in there life------>Christ

Well that sounds like a good message but I don't believe in forcing children to go to church but you already know that. They should make their own decision in whether or not they want to follow Christ and go to church imho. That's the way I was raised though and that's the way I'm going to choose to raise my kids if I have any. Sure I will teach them about Christ, but once they're old enough to make that choice whether or not they want to go to church, it's on them.

explain how there going to get saved? faith comes by hearing hearing comes by the word of God.. the word is seed that seed must find good ground.. no body is saved outside hearing the word of God..

when kids are young taking them to Church is not force . its training them up so when they get old enough they can make the decision for salvation when that time comes. you can tell kids all about God but if your not taking them to church. the odds decrease for them being saved . i was took to church as a child and as i got older i knew right from wrong .i knew i needed to be saved. but i turned my ears from the call .
it took a trip to federal court probation for me to reach out to Christ .had i not been in church my wife going to Church when i wouldn't go . i doubt i would have been saved ...that is facts

Don't take that the wrong way or anything, it's your church, your message, you preach whatever you want. I'm just telling you how I would choose to raise my children that's all.

Besides, I still got saved and my parents hardly ever took me to church. I go more than I used to but that is by my own being. You told a really funny joke here, let's not get into another argument about this and focus on the positive.
