A resurgent Iran (Persia) and Turkey (Ottoman Empire)......thoughts?

I recently heard Turkey is attempting to quietly push it's borders back out to pre-WWI areas of control. Can anyone with more intelligence than I (which include 99.9% of anyone here) please show how this could impact/confirm prophecy? Very curious.

It is my belief that "the revived Roman empire" spoken of in prophecy, with 10 nations, will be the eastern division of the Roman empire, not the western division of the Roman empire. The study of the empire that Constantine ruled with Constantinople as it capitol is an interesting study.

It doesn't impact or confirm prophecy. Turkey is not the Ottoman Empire, and neither are part of biblical prophecy. Take a look at a map of the Ottoman Empire and think about how Turkey could possibly ever assume control over such an area. Not a chance. The mistaken idea that Iran is somehow a reborn Persian Empire runs into the same problem.

The reason I'm focusing on Turkey is that I heard through a Christian that he felt the anti-Christ would be muslim and that he would be ruling from a revived Ottoman empire. He pointed out a speech Obama made calling on Turkey to resume its historical leadership role among the Islamic nations. It just seemed a little beyond coincidence that Turkey is trying now to do just that.

Christians say all kinds of stuff. Turkey's historical leadership role among muslim peoples is as an example of a secular government rather than islamic. Unfortunately Turkey has been regressing in this area under the islamic personality cult of Erdogan.
