This idea has helped me greatly! I have like 6 or 7 guys and we all text each other keep each other accountable. We all have had or have addictions and this is greatly helping us.

This not only helps me but it also helps others as well. So many have their fights against pornography with the help of prayer, faith, and accountability.

I highly suggest this to people who are struggling with addictions or just need help. :yes

The guys in my year group at my local youth group...we have this kind of system as well. We are quite honest with each other about what we're struggling with, and we keep each other accountable, and we have prayer threads etc on facebook and so on. It is really encourageing to know that people are praying for you, keeping you accountable and going through the same things or similar things that you're going through. It's also really good (both for you and for them) to keep others accountable. Overall, this 'system' of accountability has brought our group closer to God, I believe.

I would also encourage anyone who does not do this, to do so, even if it's with just one other person or a group.

Thanks Colton!

Welcome.

I am not one to encourage things on internet but on Christian forums such as this. Find a good Christian friend on here and keep accountable. Do it with someone you have known for awhile though and make sure you trust them well. If you're new start off with Nick or Blazin Bones. They are both mods in the teens section and are more than happy to help you all out.
If you are a girl I know there a several female staff here that are more than willing to help y'all out. They are staff for a reason. :)

Yes, there are many responsible people on here (such as staff and myself) that are more than willing to help anyone out and be an 'accountability partner'. Just also remember not to neglect your 'real' friends for cyberspace. Both are important. Also remember that the staff are not trained councellors!

Yes...forgot to mention that. They will try to help best they can but if they can't do anything they will probably tell you to try to see a counselor.

(Thank you Nick for catching that)
