We have several "Talk Radio" programs here in Tennessee. On one particular program, The Host says he is a Christian and has the Spirit (Holy Spirit). He talks well of the Lord and could be a good witness or Ambassador of Christ..........But....He talks about his favorite TV programs, How exciting or good they are. One of hem is called "Nashville", Another one is "House of Cards" with Kevin Spacey. I started to watch House of Cards, but it got to vulgar for me. But the talk radio host thinks it is great? The TV program Nashville is just like the Soap Opera's that have been on TV for over 50 years. Some people email the host regarding some of his decisions, and he tells them to KMA. He curses often and makes unseemly and vulgar wisecracks on just about everything....and I mean vulgar. I only listen to radio when driving, of which I do not do much anymore, but I had been expecting to see the radio station fire him any time....but they don't. He really gets personal about his sex live with his wife sometime that even embarrasses me. Yet, I have heard him read emails of people praising him because he witnesses how the Lord came into his life. Is it no wonder that the religious give God a bad name. The raido host grieves the Spirit in me and reminds me of what Paul said about those who claim to be brothers that live in the world (world principles), to not even eat with them. What I get from his testimony is he is bragging about how religious he is. I can not connect to him Spiritually. I talked to my sister yesterday who lives in Hadley, PA. When her Children were little, her and her children would ride the Church bus every Sunday and it was always packed with children and adults, Her children have all grown up and all but one has moved away (he teaches Sunday school), but she said that there is hardly any children on the bus anymore and some of the churches have closed down because of low attendance. The enemy has crept in unawares to the religious, but not to the brethern, and I believe it has a lot do with the last 40 years or more.....especially the last eight years. One way to check our self is: Would we be ashamed if the Lord appeared in our presence at the time of what we were watching, or listening or thinking, or doing and even speaking. I think about that a lot .
