My parents are increasingly kind to me. Because of Christ's work in my heart and life, I"m increasingly grateful and kind to them, too.

They're getting estimates on having some work done to the house. I"m excited. Its an old house...--major-- fixer upper when they bought it years ago. I'm thankful to see that they can now change it a bit, so its more to their liking.

Very exciting! Honestly, I like the house as it is now, but..I'm excited to see that my parents are able to do this sort of thing, and that they're getting so into it. My dad's done most of the plans for what they want. Good times.

Other than that...I"m just...thankful. My mama will chat me up from time to time, and I think she now sees that I'm not the brat of yesteryear. Same with my dad, although--and this is true of most dads, I think--he's bigger on -doing- things with me than he is on talking with me. I'm blessed beyond measure.

Mama's retired, Praise God! I guess she was paid well enough or whatever, but it was a really high pressure job because of politics and such, and...really...she just wanted to (gasp) -do her job-, not play games and such. Ugh. Right now, she's getting the pension or whatever, and then over the summer I think she'll be able to draw social security at long last, so...that's good for their bottom line, clearly.

Meanwhile, I'm doing well, too. I realize now that brain damage...is...rough, to say the least. So is being physically sick, tired all the time, etc. I have a lot more energy now, and I"m healthy, and...as for the brain damage...my IQ estimate is up, I don't have concentration and memory problems, I can stay on task better, I'm more interested in things, less apathetic, etc., so...God is good!

I'm reminded of a poster I saw a good bit, from a campaign by the AoG: "Nothing is too hard for God." Turns out...they were (and are) correct.

Thanks for the prayers, support, admonishment, etc. :)
