Anime?

hehe it's only coincidence that I'm the author of that article.

I've been watching anime for about 4 yrs. (since I was 12) and I spend a marginal sum of my paycheck on it. I watch anime for the compelling story and different views that come from watching something made in an entirely different culture.

So who here likes it and what are the shows you enjoy watching.

I like to many to name, but I'm currently watching Bleach, Suzuka, Genshiken, Jigoku Shoujo, Ranma 1/2 (re-watching that, it was the first I ever watched), chobits, king of bandit jing, gun sword, Kasimasi: girl meets girl, kyou kara maou, and gravitation.

I love anime my favorite shoe is probaly Evangelion. Im working on a comic with morgwolfsong right now. Its about the end of the world according to revelation and the government conspiricies that tie into it. Its got other religious references though like Judaism and Muslim.

Evangelion is an awesome shoe, if I had to watch any shoe that would be the one....oh ok enough mocking. it's all in fun roku55 (I did get that right....I hope)
Anyway, sounds like a cool manga, I loved watching evangelion I watched it with my brother and then we watched to movie...that was one messed up show.

Iv'e been watchin anime since iv'e been about six, stared off with dragonball z, then when I got older I watched stuff like Cowboy Bebop,Full Metal Alchemist, FLCL,Gundam series,Love Hina,Yu Yu Hakusho,Naruto,Ghost in the shell well damn I could go on and on lol.

I am glad to see fans of Shin Seike Evangelion. I have never seen a series with such a great mix of character depth and metaphyical postulation. It is far from a Christian series despite its symbolism. Evangelion makes you think about why you believe what you believe.

I had noticed your name before, I was wondering why you would name yourself after that guy...not exactly the nicest of people...

No, he was definately a *******. I sometimes use the name on forums because I feel that if I ever fall in Love and my Love was killed, I would do anything to get Her back. I'm not exactly proud of that aspect of myself but nonetheless it is part of me.

Also, you should check out the Anime Series Elfen Lied. If you can stomach the violence and the nudity it is an awesome series. If you are a Christian Fundamentalist I don't recommend it but then again Evangelion isn't right for Christians either.

Elfen Lied, shows us the best and worst in humanity. If you enjoy a deep story, which places Emotion and Personality over Action then you should definately see it. There is a decent amount of Action, but it is not what drives the story and makes it ******** Awesome. :-D

That is exactly the kind of show I've been looking for, ever since I finished Evangelion and Infinite Ryvius I've had difficulty finding a really deep anime....just been watching bleach, jigoku shoujo and the twelve kingdoms.
