Also, check out all the Archaeological sites that have evidence of the bible being the truth. It's very interesting.
I have looked at them. Where the broad claims were there such as their being a land called Egypt, they are correct. It takes place in a historical setting like th Iliad does. However, the specific relics turn out to be forgeries. Everything showing thyat Jesus ever existed has been shown to be a forgery or third hand account.

[quote:45116] I don't believe you could call all of them liars, but we do know that Lucy and the other so called human/apes were fakes, every single one of them. Christian scientists also have plenty to say about it too.
[/quote:45116]
So why do you think scientists would lie about the fossils? Remember that ma ny of these scientists are Christians as well.

:B-fly: Don't you ever get tired of telling such big fibs?
You could not possibly be looking at the sites that are available and
by well known archaeologists! many archaeologists owe their salvation
to their career choice in Archaeology, amen.
If you really did know science, then you'd also know that you do not have
one shred of evidence that science supports what you claim it does.
Science doesn't claim anything that goes against nature.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but I am a scientist. I work in the physics division of a government lab. So I do know a lot about the state of science and what scientists think.

8-) Well then you should definately know better! I am appauld that you could dare say that science supports your biased opinions like that, when
it clearly cannot and does not and it doesn't even claim to.
"Shocking indeed"

Well, I don't want to confuse you with the facts, but here goes. http://www.religioustolerance.org/ev_publi.htm shows that in a Gallup 1997 poll, only 5% of scientists believed in Creationism versus 44% of the population. 95% of the scientists believe in evolution with 40% of them believe that God guided it.

You misunderstand. The Bible doesn't say the world is flat at all.
The four corners of the earth simply put means the four directions, like north, east, west and south.

Uhm. So, do you mean some literal interpretations are good enough for you, and some others aren't? If the Bible says the world has four corners, it doesn't mean exactly what is written, but if it says the world was created in seven days, then it means exactly that. How's that possible?

You may understand the words differently but that doesn't change the way
the bible was meant to be read.

It's funny that you mention that. The Bible was meant to be read in different ancient languages, none of them English. If you had ever translated a text from other language, you would have noticed that some words and sentences can be translated in different ways that don't always mean the same. Translation is a kind of interpretation, as any professional translator could tell you. So the Word of God is not the exact Word of God, it is rather the Word of God THROUGH the translator's mind.

I am asuming that you know the Bible was nor written in English, and that there are more languages in the world, which might be too much asuming.

He said the Bible wasn't written in English originally, so why are you posting links to an evolution/cretinism debate?

:B-fly: Attacking the book of Genesis will not strengthen your case.
The bible in all languages tell the same message. If you don't believe
that then why don't you go find out? Research it,and ask other people
who speak more than one language. The fact that many worldly people
also don't accept evolution just proves the fact that it's not just those
christian creationists who don't believe in it.

I could read Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic for all you know. I could be a scholar in the study of ancient languages. chdl making assumptions.

 Hey',wait a minute, aren't you the one whose been making all
of the ASSumptions?
However, wouldn't it be great if you knew all those languages, you don't,
but if you did, that would be so nice, and perhaps you wouldn't be so
afflicted?

Why do you ASSume so often?
Yeshua is Jesus's name in Hebrew. God made all the languages so you
don't think he understands them?

He didn' translate the books though...men did.

:B-fly: Please try to get it this time,o.k? GOD MADE WORDS,GOD
MADE ALL LANGUAGES,GOD TOLD MAN WHAT TO SAY,and HOW TO
WRITE IT DOWN.
MAN FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Blue, if God made all languages, did he make English?

I don't know if you've ever read Beowolf. It is pretty much unintelligable to us, but it is the ancestor of English.

Throw in some German, Norse and French, shake for a few hundred years and you have English.

Even Shakespearean English is much different than our own.

If you claim God was responsible for Modern English, then you also have to give him credit for...

The "f" word
"Do'h"
"Fo Schnizzle"
"internet"
"blog"

Those are all relatively recent words.

Are you saying every word we speak is a product of God, not man? If so, exactly how did God inspire Snopp Dogg to coin his words?

8-) So then, you can find them in the holy bible too, right?
Common sense,Thinkerman,COMMON SENSE!!!
