Definitely cheaper to make more awesome popcorn at home. It is crazy overpriced in places like movie theaters these days..

Spaghetti sauces are so much fun to make! Many herbs that can be added. Sweet basil is probably my favorite, but my husband likes more savory like parsley and rosemary so we take turns with spaghetti sauces lol.

An electronic smoker, how interesting. I have never used one. Sounds like a fun gadget!
We grow fresh basil and it's great when we have it. I like using fennel. I'll make my sauce by boiling down fresh tomatoes. I don't have a precise recipe and it's always a little different each time. But my basics are basil, oregano, fennel, fresh garlic, and fresh onion along with Italian sausage.

Oh... the smoker is super easy. Got it on sale for $120 at a Do It Center! It drives my wife nuts because it hooks up to the wifi and is controlled with a phone app. You basically set the oven temp and the probe temp and sit back and leave it alone. When the probe temp comes up to temp, it goes in a warming mode.

I love smoking chicken. I'll take a whole chicken, cut it down the back and brine it in salt water with a dark beer. For Salmon, it's salt water, soy sauce, brown sugar and a drier red wine.

I'm really bummed though. We leave the smoker on the back deck and the dog's were going crazy Tuesday night. Apparently a Coon was able to push the smoker away from the wall and ate the power cord... Geesh, one more thing to fix around here...

Italian sausage is a great addition, it really does go great with fennel. Real tomato chunks in the sauce are great! Sounds yum!

I have seen more kitchen appliances hook up to apps these days. Saw a Vitamix at Costco that could hook up to the app and you can use certain settings and it knows the right amount of time. It is pretty neat, but I don't mind being away from the wifi for cooking.

Aw, rotten racoon...must have smelled some delicious residue on it. We don't see a lot of racoons around here, but we do have them. I think I have only seen one alive one here in my lifetime.

So is putting it INSIDE the garage... ooy, I hate that I have one more thing to fix... Magneto is going out on the riding lawnmower... wife and I are so busy we had the $5 pizza pizza for dinner. However, I did treat us to some stovetop popcorn with real butter!

Ha, my wife cant stand the wifi end of the smoker. It wouldn't be so bad if you could connect from multiple devices, but you can only have the app on one phone. To boot, it doesnt have much in the way of controls if you dont have wifi.

As far as the coon, we have rat terriers and I think they cornered him. Hopefully he learned his lesson because they will have fun making small work of him if they get it in the open.

Rat terriers are so smart.

I remember my mom told a story of her aunt getting a rat terrier mix. A friend of my great aunt's said, "We know someone whose dog had puppies!" She thought, "Aw cute! A puppy! I will be by to pick one up!" She picked one up and she cried all the way home because she said, "It was so ugly, but I already said I would take it home." My mom says it was such a wonderful dog with all of the kids and was extremely smart.

Yes, they are extremely smart and that passes down to their hunting.

We have mamma and one of her puppies. She has to be 10 years old. She certainly has a mind of her own kinda like a cat lol!

We have an underground fence that spans probably 2 acres, and do you know that she knows when she has her shock collar on and when she doesnt.

Sounds like a unique breed.

I used to have a couple cats that would always outsmart me. I am pretty sure they were a tag team working on world domination lol.
